My world has been so white too!! Mostly descendants of Italians.
Except for high school after integration.
Then we got to beat the #### out of the PRs and Blacks during the race fights of the 80s.
Though to be fair sometimes they beat us and sometimes they fought each other.

I could never get past the overly melodramatic preaching style to really follow whatever his point was.
I couldn’t sit through even two minutes of that bullshit.
Its funny because people in shithole countries say “my country isn’t so white and I want to go to place where it is and they have running water and toilet paper isn’t a luxury”.
Every SJW who whines about the whiteness of the developed world needs to go live in a shithole for a year. Not a one week visit to dig a well or build a school (because people in shithole countries can’t even do that), but for long enough that you need to live off the native economy for a while.
My oldest son and I went to Sierra Leone together for two years. He explained to me that he could never listen to a citizen of the United States ever complain about being poor once he had returned.

I’ve been to Haiti and I know people from Africa. It’s true. There are no poor people in the USA.
But that’s why the new buzzword from the SJWs is “underserved”. It’s not that they are poor or even underprivileged. They just aren’t “served” enough. To me, anyone who calls themselves “underserved” is just a whiny crybaby who failed at adulthood.
And mostly it’s rich white Leftists advocating for People of Color, since they clearly can’t do it for themselves, and must have the intercession of said rich white Leftists. Like *that* is not racist!
Guy at work came from Sierra Leone, lived through their civil war. One day, while training him for a certification, I asked him if he missed there. He said no, never wanted to see it ever again. I asked if he still had family there. He said” Father dead, mother dead, brother dead. Wife dead. Whole family dead. All dead. “
That kind of made further conversation really awkward.

Its funny but I was thinking something similar today, about how many of those, residents and non-residents, who are so hateful and down on this nation, yet you walk into a grocery store and there is a more consistent abundance there then there ever was in history or is in this so called “non-white” places and we share by sending what we can to them. Yet the more we give & give it will never be enough because if someone can’t put on their own shoes, they will always more often have to walk barefooted when there is no one available to help put on their shoes.
I also said a prayer of thanks to God for their being this great abundance, as even though it’s what I’ve know all my life, I know there is always the possibility there could be shortages for one reason or another.
Interesting that now it’s come to the point of manufacturing situations to keep racism alive.
I guess we were better at eliminating it that we’ve been told all these years cause now they’ve had to invent *white privilege* and blame everything on that to keep feeding the racial tensions between races these days.
The church I attend is very racially mixed and NOBODY carries on about racism and being oppressed.
The only time I hear about it is from the pulpit by our white pastor who tells us on occasion that we need to not be racist.
He’s preaching to the choir as I have never encountered it among the people I attend church with.
...and, yet, it’s white countries that liberals always want to flee to.

Your post is so timely for me. Thank you. We attend a reformed Baptist church where the associate pastor is spearheading racial justice and the gospel stuff. We are very wary and I will read this from David Platt. My best hope is that is will re-direct the discussion to Jesus. My worst fear is that they have agreed with the secular leftists accusation that all white people, especially Christians are guilty of racism, both now and based on what our forefathers may have done. It is very divisive if not focused on Jesus. Even a black deacon from our church says they need to move on. Husband asked main pastor if there is a problem in our church with treatment of minorities and he said “Oh no!”.
Your world has not been White. You are obsessed with the idea and you are not rational.
This is all just white hatred racism.
Its just pure racism aimed at whites.
Take note. This is what an inclusive majorty white culture/cointry gets for being inclusive and open to others.

Yes. There is nothing like overseas travel to make an American appreciate just how fricken lucky they really are.
Growing up and during my enlisted time in the Marine Corps I had seen Mexico, South Vietnam, India and the Philippines. I used to tell people that, if they thought they had a good working definition of what being poor was, they should go to India and find out they were still talking about the middle class.
The eye opener for my daughters was a family vacation that we took to Cancun in 2000. They were in their early-mid teens at the time and an overbooking fiasco by the travel and hotel companies sent a number of the families and couples in our travel group from a nice pyramid-shaped hotel in the Zona Turista down the coast to an all inclusive beach/diving resort at Akumal. (Akumal is just north of Tulum and the Mexico-Belize border.) Getting there was a 2-3 hour ride through the Mayan countryside.
Once there, we made some excursions including a day trip to Chichen Itza. This involved another several hour trip through the Mayan jungle via the old colonial capital Merida. Along the way, they got to see a lot of real poverty.
In the years since, both have done a lot of travelling in Europe, Japan, China, Central and South America.
To this day, they both still agree that one of the biggest strokes of luck they ever had was simply to be born an American citizen and grow up in the United States.
No problem since I am a black, dwarf, differently-abled, lesbian womyn named “La Quinta” (good thing mom and dad didn’t stay at “motel six”)
