Vatican Official: Environmental Sustainability Creates ‘Real’ Happiness
Breitbart ^ | 10/12/17 | Thomas D. Williams

In a remarkable new statement from the Chancellor of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, “encroaching environmental stress” is leading to mass displacement of peoples and causing “the greatest humanitarian crisis since the Second World War.”

Plugging an upcoming Vatican conference bearing the provocative title “Youth as Stewards of Our Planet for a More Fraternal and Supportive Society,” Argentinian Bishop Marcelo Sanchez Sorondo states that the key challenge facing the world today is how to reorganize social and economic life within and between nations to better inculcate higher values.

These values, “contemplation, prayer, community, equity, solidarity, fraternity, trust, and environmental sustainability,” Sanchez writes in the brochure outlining the conference, are “the values that create real rather than deceptive happiness.”

The Bishop does not reveal how he believes one ought to “reorganize social and economic life within and between nations” to better inculcate the values of contemplation and prayer, which might seem to many to be beyond the purview of social and economic “reorganization.”

He also fails to elaborate on how environmental sustainability creates “real” happiness.

This conference organized by Bishop Sanchez Sorondo is only the latest in a long string of such events, which regularly deal with related topics such as biodiversity, population and global warming.

Earlier this year, for a workshop on biological extinction, Bishop Sanchez invited renowned population hoaxer Paul Ehrlich, who gained celebrity status through the publication of his 1968 doomsday bestseller, The Population Bomb.

Good to know the Church has got it’s priorities right!

The Vatican, and its ancillaries, has become entirely corrupted.

It creates tax revenue for big government welfare states like in Canada where Kyoto implementation means taxes on utility bills.

And the big elite corporations-businesses that buy Uniparty politicans of the “Left” an “Right” get “carbon credits” while the little people pay the taxes.

This is a worldwide version of “cigarettes are bad” or “sugary drinks are bad” with the demonization and emotions being used to leverage higher taxes for big government.

“contemplation, prayer, community, equity, solidarity, fraternity, trust, and environmental sustainability,

Community, equity, solidarity, fraternity, and environmental stability, have all become leftist’s code words.

5 out of 8 is a pretty good score.

Very good point.

It’s easy to recognize Leftist/Progressive code words.

Pope Moonflower and his Red Guard would rather you hug a tree than embrace God.

So you’d sooner have us hug a prepper.

Well it follows from your tag. There are a lot of ways to go worldly. The special thing is to be otherworldly.

One who embraces Christ in the way that Christ wants, rather than what religions or traditions advise you to do, will be yielded to a most strange degree to His Spirit. And will not be worried in the slightest as to whether the world is going to be taken over by criminals, or not.

Sure sure, but in the meantime Pope Summerfall Winterspring would have us all reenact the mountaintop scene from Sound of Music, while smoking doobies and praising Marx.

Not interested, except for the doobie part.

Look, the point ought to be not to follow some mortal religious figure. That’s always going to fail. We can see multiple ways for it to fail. Just like you could die jumping off a bridge or grabbing a high voltage electric wire or running into traffic, all of which we avoid, of course.

The actual Jesus is almost scarily powerful. If He pushed any further into my life, I’d be alarmed. He knows how much I can take at one time, though.

But hey if it is just a worldly thing, then I really wouldn’t have any reason to choose prepping over being ultra hippie. If it’s all vain in the end with respect to the transcendent, and sometimes the hippies do chance upon Jesus, then pick your vanity. It’s all the same.

And... maybe the Catholics do need to loosen up a bit. Even if Pope Francis is taking it to absurd lengths right now. All love of any kind! Anywhere! Well, we need to be purer than that in order to please the Lord. And yet —

Some folks can’t have their cup filled by the Lord because they have crushed it into a tight wad. The free love folks might end up being in better shape than the strait laced ones in the very end, with the Lord addressing them equally. I don’t know how Francis’ life is going to end up. Maybe he will be visibly born again, and this Francis, now orthodox in outline, will also end up making most of Catholicism look like fools.

This commie Pope is not an adheherent of Jesus.

If anything, he does the bidding of those that worship Moloch.
