"Yoga wants to get students to the point of complete numbness in their minds. God, on the other hand, wants you to be transformed by the renewing of your mind through his Word," Laurette says.
Yoga is rooted in Hinduism and cannot be separated from it..."
"There's nothing wrong with stretching and calming down one's breathing. But yoga isn't really about that; it's aimed at transforming human consciousness to experience the Hindu god, which is a false god.
"Beware being told to empty your mind or to step outside your body."
Thanks for the link
Who can truly say they know the mind of yoga and what yoga truly wants.
Namaste bltches!!
Isn't that what so many universities want an real Christians or otherwise conservatives to do?
This is the equivalent of trick-or-treating on Halloween eve leading you into satanism...
This is a very important question that you just posed.
No, Christ does not want us to “empty our minds”.
Salvation requires understanding what we are believing. The Holy Spirit is not a “force” that overcomes our free will, or takes over our minds (and therefore our consent or free will agreement with God.)
The Holy Spirit is truth and we are to understand the truth of the Gospel message in order to be saved. This is the underpinnings of all of Western Civilization, the ability to understand what happened on the Cross.
God wants us to “cooperate” with Him because we understand who He is and what He wants us to do.
if any Christian is preaching that our “minds are to be emptied” in order to receive Christ, they are not Christians.
The Greek word for “spirit” as in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit has to do with the mindful or mental understanding of who God is and the truth of our need of Him.
This is the reason that those who have the invisible mark on their foreheads as discussed in Ezekiel and Revelation will be saved at the end of all time. The reason God’s invisible mark is on our foreheads is because this is the seat of our mental thoughts and understanding.
That’s my thumbnail version of why Yoga, or any spiritual exercise that says we have to empty our minds is not of Christ.
Jesus does not want unthinking robots. Or automatons. He wants intimate relationship with His church; not servants, but beloved friends and family in Him.
A little bit. But emptying your minds and taking ritualized Hindu poses to their various entities is the “trick” of the Enemy of our souls to open ourselves up to severe supernatural problems.
Halloween is 100% rooted in paganism and witchcraft. Just because it today has a cute veneer does not take away from the real meaning. The Ouija board is sold as a kid’s game but it only serves one purpose, to contact spirits.

Amazing conversion story.
Fixing your first statement.
Modern Halloween.....
It didn’t start out that way. It started as the Eve of All Hallows — The Vigil of All Saints.
Yes
Your argument is the equivalent of telling kids dressed as little Trump for halloween to collect candy that they are opening themselves to the enemy because they are participating in a satanic celebration.
Of course, they are participating in a secular celebration to get candy and no more.
Not every yoga class is as you describe. Many are just physical and community events.
Its roots go back to ancient Druid holidays. Look up Samhain.
Perhaps, but we must be diligent about our faith to “show ourselves approved”... before God.
We are supposed to be as God called the Hebrews, a “peculiar people”...
But we Christians are not “peculiar” because we are “weird”.
We are peculiar because God’s holiness separates us from the ways of the world that lead unto death..
‘Union’ is a more accurate translation of the Sanskrit word ‘yoga.’
Take a close look at his shirt. Keep in mind, too, that Aleister Crowley was a big yoga enthusiast.
The names of the days of the weeks and the months of the year honor pagan deities. Avoid all calendars - they are demonic!
Christianity co-opted the pagan holidays underlying Christmas and Easter. If this woman has her way, Christianity will take over yoga, too.
If I was posing every morning in spiritual reverence to these day-of-the-week deities, then I’d be worried.
But thanks for the tidbit.
No, why are they eating pizza in the cartoon on the wall?
