No. Sexual orientation seems pretty hard wired. CAN anyone have or submit to sexual activity with anyone, physically? Yes. But do they desire it? No. If you are male, and straight, you could force yourself to allow a man to whatever. Maybe only if your child’s life were in danger. But you wouldn’t want to.

Whom you wish to engage with seems hard wired, whether it’s the opposite sex or not. And some seem less wired meaning they intellectually choose to try other things. That isn’t the same.

What goes on in the brain, even if we don’t fully understand it yet, is physical and it is science. There is a reason you desire a woman.

“hard wired” seems like you’re saying a person is born gay and there’s no proof of that.

There is no “proof” that sexual orientation is hardwired but now that I have learned so much about the brain and its malfunctions, it’s pretty clear that MOST people really are hard wired with their orientation.

I have NEVER been attracted to a woman. I NEVER made a decision about which gender to like. In fact, once a group of female friends of mine were all talking about fighting with their spouses. The one lesbian among us said, “When she and I fight, each of us says how we have been feeling. Then we cry and hug and it’s over.” That sounded better to me than fighting with a guy! Easier, anyway. But still I couldn’t cross over to the other side.

Hard wired. From birth. Probably something that happens in utero.
