You don’t want to waste your time figuring out who Pope Francis is. You want to get ready for Jesus Christ’s return.
Revelation Chapter 12:
1 Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars.
2 Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.

Previous Bible commentators have taken this as a symbolic vision about Israel (Mary) giving birth to Jesus, and marking the start of the 3 1/2 year Great Tribulation.
However, since “knowledge had increased”, we can use star charting programs such as Stellarium to see that this could be a literal “great sign” in heaven.
The constellation “Virgo”, the Virgin, has always been identified with Mary the Mother of Jesus. The nine stars of Leo, the Lion (of Judah), form a “garland” above her head.
Jupiter has always been identified as the “King” star. It is striped (by His stripes we are healed) and has a large, red spot (they pierced His side).

The great sign in the heaven is complete. This formation last happened in the about 5932 years ago, with Saturn in place of Mercury, and won’t happen again for at least another 2000 years.

I don’t know for sure if Daniel’s 70th week has started. Sir Issac Newton’s calculation, which required Israel to be back in the land with control of Jerusalem (June 1967) worked out to September 2015. We don’t know if the Anti-Christ confirmed a seven year treaty back then, but it is possible. The colors of the Four Horsemen are White, Red, Black, and, while it is translated as “Pale”, the Greek can be translated as “Green”. These are the colors of the Islamic Nations that are going up against Israel.
The Revelation 12:1-2 Great Sign in the Heavens is September 23-24, 2017, so that would be two years into the Seventieth Week. The Revelation 12:3-4 sign is no where to be seen. However, there are reports of perturbations in the Cassini spacecraft orbit around Saturn, so the “great, fiery red dragon, may be out there as a brown dwarf, which would explain why the Vatican is operating an infrared telescope, called Project Lucifer, here in Arizona.
While there are folks who think that the “called out ones”, usually called the Church, will escape the entire Seventh Week, as I read it we are only offered escape from the final 3 1/2 years if we are counted as worthy, or just before the Anit-Christ is finally revealed, which ever comes first.
So we could very well be in the first half of the Tribulation, or Time of Jacobs Trouble. The thing with Bible Prophecy is that you only really know, for sure, after the event has happened.
So read your Bible and Pray! Do what the Holy Spirit leads you to do in this world, but don’t be too attached to it! Maranatha!

3. Click on Virgo (last button) in the bottom button bar.
4. Click on “Infrared” button at top right of the main window.
5. Click on the “+” button two times.
6. Observe the rectangular black space with the Green “star” with a kind of red “diadems” under it.

“if we are counted as worthy”?? If we acknowledge Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior we ARE worthy because of His finished work on our behalf. it doesn’t depend on us or our “works”.

Yeah, its an obscure Biblical reference:
Luke 21:36 “Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
Always good to reread the Letter of James. While you can’t work yourself into salvation, if you say you have accepted Jesus as your Savior, and don’t act like it, then you might just find yourself one of those to whom He says, “I never knew you!” (Matthew 7:21-23)
Is an even headed response even possible here?
First and foremost: Francis is a sinner, as is every member of humanity except the Jesus who as God became man, to bear the sin of the rest who were willing to let Him do it.
Francis has committed some egregious errors. The Allah of Islam is an illusory front for evil spirits which makes Islam almost sui generis in its evil. Oriental faiths may carry an attenuated trace of the Abrahamic God along with their false or distorted deities. They seem to want some kind of ultimately good supreme principle, even in the sense that we know good. However along with his errors — so has the Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church (here come the arrows! Duck! Crazy Evangelical Alert!)
I think he could get right on Islam with more observation of world events. When they refuse enough to return his love, he could learn. The repudiation could look quite Davidic when it happens.
In general: fasten your spiritual seat belts (and just belts, i.e. the belt of truth) snugly. A lot is poised to happen.
And that will be a sad declaration on His part. This reflects an eternal spurning of His outreach: NEVER knew. Not even, once knew but then forgot (this is scripturally pledged to be impossible).
Right, Watch! But let not your heart be troubled! You seem to be so upset that Pope Francis is truly evil. You should be happy because it means Jesus is coming soon. Peace and Grace.

We don’t see the full story. Evangelicals shouldn’t be holding Francis to Roman Catholic norms if those are biblically distorted anyhow.
Who is Francis? How about this? He is a naive busybody who preaches ‘Do As I Say, Not As I Do’.
Francis tells us that walls are bad. Yet the Vatican is surrounded by a huge wall.
Francis tells us that we should welcome illegal immigrants. Yet Vatican citizenship is among the toughest to get in the world.
I could go on and on. My advice to Francis: Resign, then run for mayor of Chicago. It would be a perfect fit.

Everybody wants their enemy du jour to be The Antichrist (tm).
The Roman church isn’t even the sole rival of the Altogether Correct Evangelicals. There WAS that little thing called the Roman-Orthodox split.
We won’t see a confusing, feckless figure like Francis when the actual main Antichrist appears. The real one will be able to unite people. Francis seems to be dividing.
We are simply dealing with a bad Pope.
An exuberant blasphemer, for starters. And the list goes on...
Another question for the list, under the "Papacy" section: Does an authentic "Holy Father" "proselytize" such devilment as is documented on this D/B collection of quotes?
