Politicians should lower the volume of their debates and stop insulting each other, Pope Francis said on Friday, adding that leaders should be open to dialogue with perceived enemies or risk sowing the seeds of war.

"Insulting has become normal," he said in a 45-minute-long improvised talk to university students in Rome. "We need to lower the volume a bit and we need to talk less and listen more."

What happens when just telling the truth about someone is taken as an insult?

Frances, maybe you should listen more, and stop pushing your crazy agenda.

Pope Francis is an insult ... to God. His narcissism will wager him hell. The “anticriticism” and “antiwar” faction has in fact deep shadows of hate behind the love it puts behind fiendish individuals and institutions of marxist antmen

"leaders should be open to dialogue with perceived enemies"

Says the man who absolutely refuses to dialogue with those he perceives as theological enemies.

Dear Francis,

"I HAVE SWORN UPON THE ALTAR OF GOD ETERNAL
HOSTILITY TO EVERY FORM OF TYRANNY OVER THE MIND OF MAN"

"...who, being themselves but fallible and uninspired men,...

....have assumed dominion over the faith of others, setting up their own opinions and modes of thinking as the only true and infallible, and as such endeavoring to impose them on others, hath established and maintained false religions over the greatest part of the world, and through all time;

...

that it is time enough for the rightful purposes of civil government, for its officers to interfere when principles break out into overt acts against peace and good order; and finally, that truth is great and will prevail if left to herself, that she is the proper and sufficient antagonist to error, and has nothing to fear from the conflict, unless by human interposition disarmed of her natural weapons, free argument and...

...debate, errors ceasing to be dangerous when it is permitted freely to contradict them. "

“What happens when just telling the truth about someone is taken as an insult?”

In a case such as that, it is proper for you to just submit, and perpetuate the lie, since telling the truth is divisive, and offensive, and the adults know best, and just have faith.

Why don’t the local parishes quit supporting the vatican. In a lot of denominations, if the head representatives are against or putting their own spin on the inerrant Word of God and are in direct opposition to the will of the people, the churches either withdraw from that denomination or quit sending them money.

Jane Curtain and Dan Ackroyd would admire that sample of deep sarcasm. (not sarcasm)

Certainly, in real life and also not sarcasm, just to be clear, apologists for Islam would absolutely agree we should act that way!

Mind your own beeswax, Francis. You seem to have enough of your own problems.

Isn't it about time Pope opened the Vatican to refugees, and stopped hoarding all that money?
