God's word is truth, the written revelation of Jesus Christ to us and you say that like it's nothing.
God's word sanctifies us, makes us free, and is powerful and sharper than any two edged sword.
It's precious treasure above all else and you say *it's all they have*??
It's all we need.
John 6:63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.
John 17:17 Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
You misunderstand evangelicals, if this is what you really believe.
Evangelicals have:
God as Father
Christ as Savior and brother
The Holy Spirit as Comforter, Sealer, Guide and Prayer Warrior.
They have the Spirit-breathed Scripture
They gave the Gift of pastor and teacher given to the Church
They have fellowship with the local Body of Christ.
That is just the tip of the iceberg.
