PARIS, December 2, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) --The socialist government of France passed a bill after one day's debate that criminalizes websites that might dissuade women from abortion.
The “digital interference” bill is aimed at cracking down on French websites that would, in the words of the bill, "deliberately mislead, intimidate and/or exert psychological or moral pressure to discourage recourse to abortion."
Convicted website owners could face two years in prison and fines up to 30,000 euros ($31,799 USD).
The majority left voted in a block for the bill while the minority right formed a block against it.
Bruno Retailleau, who heads the Republicans party group in the Senate, told French radio Thursday that the bill "is totally against freedom of expression,” adding that it contradicts the 1975 law that legalized abortion and which called for women to be informed of alternatives.
Christian Democratic Party member Jean-Frederic Poisson also blasted the bill on Twitter for what he saw as the government's double standard in banning sites that propose “alternatives” to abortion but not “jihadist websites.”

The government of France wants your babies dead so they can say French citizens aren’t having enough babies and that’s why Mooslims should be admitted willy-nilly.
What is happening to their brains? Don’t they realize that births of babies will perpetuate the Country of France?

Socialism provides the means to censorship. Abortion supporters must censor everything they can about abortion - because it’s all bad. It exists only as a huge hoax because if everyone knew all the truth about abortion it would be banned everywhere.
France doesn’t have a First Amendment.
She wants to ban islamic symbolism in public but believes that to achieve this it would require a ban on all religious symbolism, hence the "sacrifice".
Sadly that almost seems like a step up.
Muslims aren’t going to like that.
The US is traveling along the same road.
The French birthrate is already way below replacement rate. Demographics will ensure a muslim government in less than 50 years.
This makes the Vatican websites illegal in France. And, all Catholic Church websites also illegal in France.
This is the kind of law that can help get LePen elected, by way of voter backlash.
In as little as 3 generations France will be muslim own and operated. The French will become a distant memory in 4 generations.
Does nothing but aid the Muslim takeover of France by demographics. Sad to see such a beautiful and historic country fall to globalism which should be another word for Muslim control.

I have read articles that say the one should not “congratulate” people upon their engagement, because SOME people will be made sad that they don’t have a fiance.
