If just citing damning doctrines was enough, if that's the "tough love" that's necessary, then Jesus wouldn't have needed to specifically command we love each other above all things, and declare that all teachings are dependent upon that love.

And just WHO are those included in the 'one another'?

John 13:34-35 (NIV) 34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Who are the YOU mentioned here?

It appears to be DISCIPLES.

Shall we extrapolate this specific command to a certain bunch of folks to the world at large?

So yes, you are making an over simplified assumption.

I just HATE when that happens!

"Now if any of you will deny the plurality of wives, and continue to do so, I promise that you will be damned;

and I will go still further and say, take this revelation, or any other revelation that the Lord has given,

and deny it in your feelings, and I promise that you will be damned.

Brigham Young - JoD 3:266 (July 14, 1855)

I'd put it well behind *baptism saves you*, and *works save you*.

And I've never seen this taught by anyone ever.

I'll assume you have no valid TR then.

The true doctrine is, the Lord has requirements that have to be met before He will grant salvation. Those are His words.

The BIBLE says...

Micah 6:8
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

John 6:28-29
Then they asked him, "What must we do to do the works God requires?
Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent."

1 John 3:21-23
Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him.
And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.

James 1:27
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

SLC has even MORE 'requirements'.

Does what is being taught about only having to believe match up with what Jesus Christ Himself has said about His criteria for salvation?

HMMMmmm...

Does what is being taught about only having to believe what is in the KJV match up with what Brigham Young has said about MORMON criteria for salvation?

Matt 25:34- clearly states requirements.

Here; Jesus was asked a direct question.

HE then gave a direct answer:

John 6:28-29

Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”

Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”

It gets re-emphasized here:

1 John 3:21-24

Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.

Are you also a Mormon, like Storm Prepper?

Well; if the REVERSE is true...

Those that use the calendar system Yehova gave us can know.

Jesus said, "Ya can't!"

Yes I know he is a Mormon. Too bad huh?

Well; according to the Second Prophet; Brigham Young; ALL the SLC Mormons are in a REALLY bad circumstance!

The question is, do i believe Joesph Smith to have been a false Prophet?

Do ANY of you "damned " SLC mormons reading this, who has gotten any information from your church, that old B.Y. was:

1. Speaking the very words of GOD
2. Drunk
3. On peyote
4. REALLY upset at SOMEone
5. Or just running his mouth as a man: a mere mortal, prone to the slings and arrows that beset us all or do you
6. Just accept the FACT that you are, truly, damned for not following your Scripture found in D&C 132:58-66?

I don’t answer to you.

1 Peter 3:15
But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect...

I think we've found our answer to the question that wasn't answered.

I never heard that before either.

There’s not a lot of Scriptural support for it.

One thing I get a kick out of when some people try to predict prophesy is that they often use the Solar calendar to set their predicted date. I am quite confident if one tries to use that, their dates will always be wrong. I doubt anyone can predict a date anyway.

So far about 500 teenage Christian girls have been beheaded, set on fire, drowned because they refuse to convert to Islam.

You think we will excape our trail by fire, I think not.

Yeah, stuff like that makes sense, at least to me. Seems like it is the charitable thing to do. Maybe a lot of person to person interaction happens, but I haven’t heard about it. Do you think it is common or what?

Why do you think there aren’t big public charities and foundations that specifically address helping those left behind? At least my search terms didn’t bring anything up. I did find several survival guides posted by those who believe in it for the ones left behind. Also what about things like having pets or a job that would hurt people if you suddenly disappeared?

I did some searching and there are places where you can register that help with counseling after the Rapture through the internet, and the ‘after the rapture pet care’ which supposedly started out as a joke by an atheists but I guess if you take them at their word is now a legit service. It’s a one time fee of 10 dollars.
