The Parable of the Prodigal Son is one of my favorites. It really shows us how much God loves us and wants us to be with him.
Yet as parents we have been in the father’s shoes, and as pre-teens we wore the rebellious shoes of the younger son. And as we grew older we donned the shoes of envy and jealousy of the older son perhaps at a worksite or during college. Oh, I want -——— what he/she has.
