You did and I thank you for it!

He definitely takes things to, and was operating on, a Holy and wholly different level.

It's easy to see how Philippians 4:8 and St. Kolbe and his life would go well together.

Thanks for that gift!

“God’s nature permanently changed when he was conceive of the Holy Spirit to Mary.”

Really?

Isn’t is a dogma of your faith that God is immutable?

Do you believe that God became man, Jesus Christ, born of the Virgin Mary, conceived by the Holy Spirit?

Sure, I do. What about my question though?

I answered your question with a very detailed “yes”.

Are you suggesting that either nothing about Christ changed at His conception and birth, or that the Christ somehow lost His human nature at the Ascension?

“I answered your question with a very detailed “yes”.”

No, you didn’t, you just asked me a question and avoided answering mine.

Does your church teach as doctrine that God is immutable or not?

First we have to define terms.

What do YOU mean when you say “immutable”?

Sorry, but you've lost all your credibility with me. Anybody who claims he believes in all books of the Bible (but the Book of Job), yet denies Jesus Christ is the Son of God, is a hypocrite.

There was a Bible before there was a "new testament." That original Bible didn't teach chrstianity. Oh, and I believe Job too. There is merely an authoritative oral tradition that says it may be an inspired parable (and also gives eight different theories as to when the events took place).

Anybody who would let a novus ordo seminarian cause him to apostatize from the Catholic Faith, never had the Faith.

A novus ordo seminarian, and the Pope, and every bible with an imprimatur, and every single priest I had ever met, and every single Catholic publication. Your reading comprehension can't be very good if you reduced all that to "a novus ordo seminarian." And btw, most of your co-religionists on FR are rabid higher critics and evolutionists, yet you never get mad at them. You only get mad at me.

Do you not find yourself unique in your leaps from such different religions? Are you done jumping or are you still looking for another one?

Where else is there to go???

It seems to me that sounds similar to a Protestant who finds OSAS threatened and responds in similar kind.

Hmm. While I can't be sure, I think I detect a bit of a smirk in that remark.

The fact is that either there is zekhut (merit) or there is a loophole. You can't have both. One completely negates the other. With Judaism/Noachism you have zekhut. With Protestantism you have a loophole. Historical chrstianity, however, tries to have both. It makes Protestant arguments against Judaism and then turns around and makes Jewish arguments against Protestantism. This is absurd.

If life really is a tightrope walk over the fires of hell, then chrstianity's vaunted "salvation" is a fraud. If a lifetime of works (including ritual/ceremonial commandments) are valid, then logically the ritual and ceremonial of Judaism are still valid. I disagree with the Protestant insistence that they have been done away with, but at least they have the common decency not to replace them with a post-Biblical imitation.

In historical chrstianity, the death of J*sus apparently serves one purpose: the "abolition" (G-d forbid!) of the Biblical ritual/ceremonial and its replacement by a post-Biblical imitation. Catholicism's/Orthodoxy's arguments against Protestantism in fact are identical to Judaism's arguments against chrstianity, and Catholicism's/Orthodoxy's arguments against Judaism are identical to Protestant arguments against the ancient liturgical churches. You've got yourself in quite a logical mess here. Clearly the whole point is to create an excuse to create a new religion. This is simply a case of fraud.

In any case, faith without works is dead and I would that everyone had faith and works according to the grace of God given to everyone as a living soul.

Which is why Judaism/Noachism are sufficient and no new religion was necessary. (And you do know, don't you, that Eastern Orthodoxy rejects original sin and is by Catholic standards "semi-Pelagian?")

Hmm. While I can't be sure, I think I detect a bit of a smirk in that remark.

Perhaps, yet not at your expense. The argument that you were never a Catholic Christian does not seem correct, and is similar to one made that a Protestant/Evangelical Christian was never really a Christian, and that one is Once Saved, Always Saved, until one is not. That you reflexively prefer Protestants to Catholics and weigh in seems to me a bit of tribal allegiance kicking in from time to time. I think I now understand you and cannot help but feel compassion.

I consider you to be a Christian (after all, you are not a Jew, nor a Moslem, nor an atheist, nor of some other Gentile religion) who became confused and overwhelmed by the seeming contradictions and ambiguities of the faith you encountered. It is problematic to prove spiritual circumcision without works. I found your testimony moving. That you now choose to be a friend to the Jews does not trouble me, as long as you practice works of teshuva, tzedakah, and chesed all the days of your life.

Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth. O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away. Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth. For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. But they like men have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me. Gilead is a city of them that work iniquity, and is polluted with blood. And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way by consent: for they commit lewdness. I have seen an horrible thing in the house of Israel: there is the whoredom of Ephraim, Israel is defiled. Also, O Judah, he hath set an harvest for thee, when I returned the captivity of my people.

And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him. And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples. And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners? But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Hosea, Catholic chapter six, in its entirety
Matthew, Catholic chapter nine, Protestant verses nine to thirteen,
as authorized, but not authored, by King James

JPII wasn't an evolutionist? BXVI wasn't an evolutionist? Every modern Catholic bible in existence doesn't teach higher criticism and evolution in its commentary and notes? OSV, Catholic Digest, Liguorian, etc., haven't run article after article attacking the veracity of Genesis 1-11?

I'm sorry. I took you for an honest person.
