I am asking for prayers for my Stepson's cousin. She was brutally beaten and shot in the head by a home intruder, while alone with her baby boy. She is in the hospital fighting for her life. Her name is Amanda and she is also 3 months pregnant. I pray He protects her and her little ones.

Such sad news today, hadn't followed down thread or I would have known sooner. I check mail, read local news, then to ABC, habit. There were two women who had been shot.

This case was one of the top featured stories. As soon as I saw the name Amanda, it was a jolt. I knew it was the young mother for whom you asked for prayers.

It's just so tragic. Beautiful woman, full of life. The little son she left behind is so adorable and will miss his Mommy but too young to remember. May she and the little one be together in God's Kingdom and may the survivors find comfort and solace.
