What I heard was real good stuff. Thank you for posting it. I’ll spend more time listening when I get a chance.

My favorite new Christian music is “Glory to the Holy One,” mostly written by R.C. Sproul. I was at the preview concert last February and I’ve been listening to it since.

Here are a few samples from that concert:

Highland Hymn: Glory to the Holy One Concert (Saint Andrew’s Chapel)

The Secret Place: Glory to the Holy One Concert (Saint Andrew’s Chapel)

Worthy is the Lamb: Glory to the Holy One Concert (Saint Andrew’s Chapel)

Have you ever hear Anonymous 4?

Incredibly beautiful. I have a bunch of their CDs, which I should go listen to again. Thanks for the reminder.

When we moved to TN we were happy to find the BBN (Bible Broadcasting Network) in our area. Wonderful Christian music (no contemporary). They have a website so anyone can listen (www/bbnradio.org).

Like you would prefer girlfriend?

Good grief. I wish Jesus was everyone’s “boyfriend,” we’d have a lot more blessing in the world if so.

God isn’t looking for who can put on the biggest pretense of holiness. The person who knows that is a failing game and realizes what God has done anyhow, is in the position to win.

Actually, for believers, Jesus is beyond mere boyfriend, He is their betrothed.

We’re going to be the Bride whom Jesus is marrying in the marriage supper of the Lamb.

Which doesn’t negate all the other love elements, which is the point.

Trouble is, most people who jeer at “boyfriend” music don’t even appreciate what THAT would mean.

And so. It might be more logical in a way to talk about “Fiancee” songs. Except the analogy kind of breaks down. The blessings definitely can flow well prior to the “wedding.” In fact the bible speaks of the giving of the Holy Spirit (not an inert entity, but One who ministers) as being the “earnest.”

Great song...So this is one of those ‘Jesus is my boyfriend songs’ I guess...

You are my every thing,
I will adore you,

That must be the boyfriend aspect of it...

Checked a few. Nice melodies, arrangements, avd instrumentation employment. Clearly not carnal approach, as most modern attemts have been. Need the lyrics to evaluate doctrinal approach.

You are to be commended for seeking these spiritual songs out, and bringing them to the attention of this site.

Real Christian verse composers and arrangers are sorely needed in our age. We have too many musicians who become "Christian" and somehow think they are Christian musicians. It takes many years of spiritual maturation to even think verse stories and melodies really glorify God rather than the composer.
