I'm on a different mission than you. This is not my home. Our missions may intersect, but they are not the same. I believe my principle responsibility is to do God"s work while I am here. Then I'm going home to be with my Victorious King!
There is no contradiction between working for a God-fearing government AND being polite on a religious forum on a website with the purpose of working for a God-fearing government.
I tell my children that they are under obligation to vote because of Romans 13. It is true. The governing authorities are established by God is clearly the message of Romans 13...for our good. However, in our system WE are the government. "WE the People of the United States...".
As the governing authority, WE THE PEOPLE, have a God-given responsibility to participate in this government so that it DOES GOOD, that it protects justice, that the people are defended, that they are not subjugated.
So, is it a wake-up call for the founder of this site to say, "We are on a mission from God!"
No, it is not!
It is ENTIRELY Biblical and Christian, and enabling this site to pursue this unified mission is a Godly mission.

But; we do have different marching orders.
We've been arguing whether toes are more important than ears and mouths more important than arms.
Every war is won by a number of differing strategems and battles.
Many soldiers even have to go on suicide missions to accomplish the overall outcome. But they go; knowing that what they do will not be overlooked.
Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.
Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. There's a fly in the ointment, however: It seems to me that only people "under God" care about the GOOD. For Atheists and Left progressives, the idea of the GOOD is irrelevant to their concerns. If they think about what is good at all, it is in terms of "what is good for me." This attitude has been disordering and corrupting our American system for the past 100 years at least.
So why do some Christian FReepers want to bash other Christian FReepers on this forum? I just wish we Christians would stop making war on each other. It would be better to unite and face the very real Common Enemy together, aided by our witness, good example, and engagement in public affairs.
Plus anyone interested in the GOOD can probably see that our good behavior is conducive to the GOOD generally, and honors our gracious Lord.
If the "'saving remnant" will not save, then America is toast.
