You do not need a man to confess to. Go to Jesus because He is the only one who matters.

The Good News of Jesus Christ is shared in the Liturgy of the Word. Readings are usually from the Old Testament, then a Psalm, on Sundays a reading of an epistle of Paul’s and a Gospel from the pens of the four evangelists.

I daresay, the good news we receive far surpasses what one might hear in a Protestant or non-Catholic Church.

BTW, just what Scripture is shared at the service you currently attend?

Can you tell me the good news?

You are very wrong. I know very few who watch televangelists. We read our Bible. Most of them teach feel good prosperity junk. Or so, I have read. I did come across the guy from TX. I knew he was not teaching the Bible so I never watched again. That happens when we know what the Bible says.

Your comment: “How can they know the good news if they can never have assurance of their salvation. Ask a Catholic if they are going to heaven when they die, the best you can get out of them is, “I hope so”. “

Perhaps your your prideful assumptions will prevent your entry into heaven. Matthew 19.

Now someone approached him and said, “Teacher, what good must I do to gain eternal life?”*
17He answered him, “Why do you ask me about the good? There is only One who is good.* If you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
18* i He asked him, “Which ones?” And Jesus replied, “ ‘You shall not kill; you shall not commit adultery; you shall not steal; you shall not bear false witness;
19honor your father and your mother’; and ‘you shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”
20* The young man said to him, “All of these I have observed. What do I still lack?”
21j Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be perfect,* go, sell what you have and give to [the] poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
22When the young man heard this statement, he went away sad, for he had many possessions.
23* Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Amen, I say to you, it will be hard for one who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven.

I seem to come across a channel which is devoted to Catholics. Is that where they learn?

So the Our Father is not a prayer?

Your comment: “Seems you could make Jesus taste a little better.”

Such disrespect. Jesus knows and I hope that he can forgive you if you show true repentance.

Why are you afraid to go to Mass?

Please read my bio... I have been to many many masses... and what they are is a blasphemy before God

But the truth is there is no GOOD NEWS in the Roman church.. which is why saying "go to mass" is the only answer I get

So you do not agree with John 3:16 ??

What? Don't they teach "metaphor" in snake handling class?

It will take more than pathetic insults like that to silence the gospel

Do you not believe John 3:16 ?

You know what our Church says, and so does everyone else on earth.

Unfortunately no matter what your church teaches its members just do as they please huh?

If Protestants followed Christ, they'd do what the Bible says instead of bending it to fit one of their (depending on who they follow) doctrines.

Give us an example.

What do you think that we're not doing that the Bible says we're to do?

What's "pathetic" is Protestant engaging in every form of vice and wickedness EXCEPT those they claim to reject. And those too if they can rationalize their way around it.

You mean like these guys?

I can not speak for her but my minister has been teaching directly from the Bible every Wednesday night, every Sunday morning and every Sunday night. He has been teaching verse by verse. Of course we have personal daily Bible reading. We probably read the Bible more than Catholics do.

but did not get the holy feeling of being with Jesus and receiving Him in the Eucharist as I do at a Catholic Mass.

Unfortunately we are not saved by our "feelings" ... feelings can be deceptive.. Mormons have what they call "their testimony "..usually their feelings.. Muslims and Buddhists feel holy. Ask a satanist how they feel after one of their ceremonies.. they would describe it as affirming their worship..

Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?

The Lord’s Prayer was an example of how to pray. We pray from our hearts.

Your comment:” I have been to many many masses... and what they are is a blasphemy before God “

May God have Mercy on you.

I am hesitant to give advice, but please forgive whatever is causing you grief, as it appears to really bother you.

God does love you and everyone and wants all of us to join Him in eternal life. Please don’t allow your animosity towards the Catholic Church to impede that eternal life with God.

Peace be with you.
