And so begins yet another sorrowful round of Christian infighting between the born again evangelicals and the Catholics.

These threads do not serve the Lord God in any way. I am sorry that the good Christians here cannot refrain from posting doctrinal articals that only lead to fighting between us.

Suffice to say, I Love you anyway and as a Catholic, I am happy to turn the other cheek.

God Bless you!

Thank you for posting this. I am also a Catholic and my Evangelical friends and I pray together. We understand that we serve the same God and often work for Him together...particularly to support the right to LIFE and Traditional Marriage.

I agree! They are an abomination to Our Sweet Jesus in every way.

"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine."

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears." 2 Tim. 2:2,3.

The "infighting" as you call it is over doctrine. God's word v. God's word plus tradition, etc. We are called to reprove and rebuke false doctrine. If this causes sorrow, be assured, false doctrine and false teaching sorrows God more. Especially in light of the fact that He has given us His word so that we might KNOW we are saved, sealed, and kept unto the day of redemption.

I disagree.....

This writer says clearly what catholics need to understand from a Christian perspective and why many oppose the idea of praying and or venerating or whatever each calls it...the dead.........it doesn’t say they have to ‘believe’ it. It simply explains the objections to that practice and behavior.

I thought it was very clear and I do agree with the explanations.

Biggirl: This is just another Catholic basing thread, and the sad thing is that the Bible is used to justify anti-Catholic Christian bashing.

Remind me to ping you both to some Catholic threads some time, wherein Catholic Tradition is used to justify anti-Protestant Christian bashing.

Thank-you for making my night and God Bless.

The sad thing about all this is that at a time when Christians in the Middle East are either are dying for the Lord Jesus or are fleeing for their very lives, there is still infighting which simply is NOT of GOD and only gives the enemy unwanted support.

I too, love the Evangelicals even when hurtful posts are posted. In truth, they are FORGIVEN for doing such stuff including using the Holy Bible to bash Christian Catholics.

People have good reason for disagreeing with the Catholic Church. If you look at any city’s religion data on CityData.com, or the state statistics, you have a pretty good idea of how much Christianity is left there just by seeing how many evangelicals, mainline Protestants and Catholics there are there.
