Great idea! Dovetails nicely with the idea of embedding small metallic flakes with christian scripture on them in all of our munitions and engraving every piece of equipment with the same. It would stop the proliferation of stolen arms instantly as doing so would be evangelizing!
Since the gay Nazis think that attacking the traditional family will give an issue to run on I say that the answer to that is to counter punch with the issue that they are completely anti traditional family. Raising this point to every one is the only counter we have. It must be expressed over and over until it becomes the issue and not the anti-religion screeching.
You are using the wrong term, "despise". No, many, many other God-fearing, Bible-based people have nothing to do with those practicing such immoral behavior because the Bible condemns it, God said people who do it will lose their souls AND we don't like the filth and disease that goes with it. I do NOT despise homosexuals and talk with them and do business with them. I just don't approve of their lifestyle and can not be forced to give them acceptance when God says NO on that matter.
If I had a business and they wanted me to provide a service that made it look like my business was in approval of their behavor (such as weddings or catering an evevnt), I wouldn't do it. If they just come in to a place to buy something or eat without flaunting their sexuality, I would not cause them any problem. Now, let me tell you something else you and others like you are having trouble understanding. I will NOT accept homosexuality nor tell those practicing it that they are okay and that IS what you want. It is not going to happen. You will have to just go ahead and imprison me or kill me. God will do something about this evil if you push it to that point. He has before and He will again or He doesn't exist. You are taking a BIG risk with your position thinking He won't do anything about it.
The Dems will pass laws requiring pizza restaurants to print on their boxes that they do not discriminate against gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgenders, queers or any other gender identification.
I could see this working. In saying that the homosexual customers specifically chose a Christian business, and then make the whole event totally Christ centered; go overboard on the theme. Along with all the great ideas already posted, in would include bible tracts handed out and placed everywhere, bible verses even printed on the plates and cups from which they will eat and drink. And I am talking about salvation verses and verses against sins such as homosexuality. Banners with verses everywhere,....
I agree. Forcing the assembly of individuals against their will for any purpose, including commercial business, is a clear violation of the 1st amendment peaceful assembly clause.
They certainly seem out of this world and really fake.
Yes, go to a Muslim food service place and demand they serve you something with pork/bacon. It's the SAME principle. Have seen videos of a working exploding in rage over someone in Australia asking for a bacon sandwich in the Muslim eatery.
Ive found that the people who despise homos most are the non religious blue collar workers, truck drivers, construction workers, plant workers.Homos?
How exactly did you come to that (idiotic)finding?
Are you assuming the categories you list are all "non religious" because, in your mind, they're of the lower class?
Or are you saying it's religion that's pushing the pro "homo" agenda and because blue collar workers, truck drivers, construction workers, plant workers are "non religious" they aren't getting the (your?) message?
Seventy (so far) CHRISTIANS called out and murdered in Kenya today...Al-Qaeda or radical sodomites...we’ll see. (We’re next if we don’t stand up to the sodomite rhetoric in this country.)
Yep, I agree there are limits to the idea. One response, and this is really the idea being expressed in the OP’s suggestion, is changing your business model so it would prevent you from being drawn into those conscience-challenging situations.
For example, your business model, for efficiency of the business mind you, only offers a limited range of basic cake shapes. We don’t do custom shapes. Sorry. Too expensive under our model.
I actually ran a Bible bookstore once. No, it didn’t work out. But I was young and had no idea what I was doing. Anyway, point being, my business model was to sell, to any customer who wanted, books that were distinctly Christian. If you want porn, you have to go to someone who sells that, and it isn’t me. That would be defensible even under current public accommodation law.
GeronL raises the harder problem, generic catering. Other than defining a limited range of event categories, you could still get called in to events that fit one of the generic categories but are so twisted no Christian should have anything to do with it, even under the label of evangelism.
So it’s a hard problem. We might find workable solutions for some kinds of businesses, and not so much for others. The long term solution is to stay in the fight, keep doing what’s right, no matter the pressure. But we need the wisdom of God to help us. If this isn’t the end of days, it’s a great practice run, and we should make the most of it for the Gospel’s sake.
Peace,
SR
I don’t know about this idea. If the business adopts some unusual presentation intended to upset the client because they are gay, they could be subject to some sort of harassment lawsuit even if they are providing the service. No, the only solution is to declare that people have a right to refuse such gigs in the first place.
Then don’t make it an unusual practice, make it all part of the service for everyone.
Christians are only fun for this type of abuse if the abuser comes off good in the comparison, if they just make themselves look bad it kind of ruins it. I like the idea of banking the money and using it to further the Kingdom of God.
***How exactly did you come to that (idiotic)finding?***
Simple. I worked with blue collar workers of all trades for fifty years. They talk.
If I had a business and they wanted me to provide a service that made it look like my business was in approval of their behavor (such as weddings or catering an evevnt), I wouldn’t do it. If they just come in to a place to buy something or eat without flaunting their sexuality, I would not cause them any problem
Careful...there’s a poster on this very thread that would term you a hypocrite for exactly that stance...
Exactly.
What is the verse that talks about homosexuality?
My wife showed it to me last night and it is very clear that homosexuality is bad. Something that many people actually claim isn’t in the Bible.
Business that “do not discriminate” do the queer crowd no good at all. They are making money off this scam and forcing themselves into Official Elite status using it. They become the Untouchables and will soon enough be immune to prosecution for all sorts of crimes.
Guy’s using a variation of my idea from well over a year ago: tell them that the profits will be donated to a Christian charity that provides gay conversion therapy.
Think of it as “The Bobs” (from Office Space) “We fixed the glitch” solution. The goal is to get them to go away and leave you alone without any sort of escalating conflict.
Wonder how the “couple” might respond?
After all, the business was forced to provide services and it is the owner of the business’s first amendment right.
It certainly wouldn’t be fun for all involved but it would make the point.
