Darwin was an atheist and Steve Jones is not a Catholic.

See the cartoon immediately preceding your last post. You appear to be on step 3 from the top.

I am so glad you can presume to speak for God.

Show me where Jesus said I forgive you and go ahead go sin some more.

the PC took over the orders, and the devout left in droves because they could serve God better as laypeople than in convents where wicca and eastern meditation replaced prayer, lesbian relationships were rife, and running valuable institutions were abandoned for vague social work.

And I won’t even mention the reason the male “religious orders” are backing this. SNAP anyone?

>>Regarding your “sinful behavior” message, the following quote is from my dictionary ... Sodom and Gomorrah, two neighboring cities burned down “because of the sinfulness of the people.” Gen 18-19<<

>>Can anyone today justify burning down two cities over a religious belief?<<

Since when is “sinfulness” a religious belief?

While it is easy, and admittedly quite tempting, to write off Cardinal Burke’s extremist rhetoric, we must remember he and those who follow his leadership are members of our church, too.

Such sad delusions. Those who promote sodomy and refer to the Deposit of Faith as "extremist rhetoric" are not members of the Catholic Church -- they are apostates.

Jones, along with 54 other public figures, signed an open letter published on 15 September 2010 in The Guardian, stating their opposition to Pope Benedict XVI's state visit to the UK.

By my understanding of the story, ZERO innocents were killed in Sodom and Gomorrah.

You wrote ... "ZERO innocents were killed in Sodom and Gomorrah."

Sodom and Gomorrah are said to be two of the cities in the Dead Sea region, and it's hard to believe any human survived the associated "rain of fire and brimstone" delivered to those two cities.

Then too, the only animal-related survivors of the Noah's Arc flood were those living creatures aboard the Arc.

If we are to believe the account in Genesis, they were destroyed because Abraham could not find ten righteous people in those two cities.

Lot, his wife, and daughters escaped (though his wife ran into another problem later).
