Obama the Theologian
New York Times ^ | FEB. 7, 2015 | Ross Douthat

PRESIDENT OBAMA, like many well-read inhabitants of public life, is a professed admirer of Reinhold Niebuhr, the famous mid-20th-century Protestant theologian. And more than most presidents, he has tried to incorporate one of Niebuhr’s insights into his public rhetoric: the idea that no society is innocent, and that Americans in particular need to put aside illusions about our own alleged perfection.

The latest instance came at last week’s National Prayer Breakfast, when the president, while condemning the religious violence perpetrated by the Islamic State, urged Westerners not to “get on our high horse,” because such violence is part of our own past as well: “During the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ. In our home country, slavery and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ.”

Obola-the-Undocumented knows a LOT about
slavery and Islam.

Slavery came from Obola’s HIDDEN Islamic religion and
Islamic HIDDEN agenda.

Slavery was protected by Obola’s political PARTY.

Sadly, the most important question is this: “Will Obama’s foray into the Crusades result in more Christians being killed/cleansed in the Middle East?”

I think the Islamic world will see Obama’s words as reason to continue Christian martyrdom and even increase it.

The problem with this NYTimes writer’s take is that Obama is not engaging in “self criticism”. He is a Muslim sympathizer (at the very least) engaging in criticism of the Christian West. Obama is not from there.

It’s actually painful to listen to a political ‘leader’ speak who so obviously has NO command of any issue.

For example: I am certain that the understanding I have of history far surpasses what our ‘President’ knows....

I am also certain that in this, I am NOT unique.

The guy is positively and pathetically uninformed!

Problem with Obama is, he’s always outside the realm of criticisms he levels on the rest of humanity (America and Americans), as though he were a god... he never partook of the sins of the rest of humanity, he only looks down and observes them. He then hurls them in the faces of those he wants to take down a few notches. He is, himself, the epitome of the criticisms he levels on the rest of us, he just can’t accept that reality. The difference between him and us is, most of us acknowledge our fallen nature and repent, he sits on high and refuses to grant forgiveness... as a person he’s a bastard sob, as the president, ditto...

I guess my biggest problem with Christians is one can only be told they're a sinner going to hell so many times before you get sick of such bullshit, flip your shit, and want to just silence them. I'm angry and I hate them, I despise them for all the bullying they do. People who do that make me want to get rid of freedom of speech AND religion just to SHUT THEM UP. No one abuses the Constitution as much as Christians in this country, unfortunately. It's all Obama has been able to do to use executive orders to get around the Congress blockade and right-wingers trying to destroy everything good like food stamps and health care. I just have gotten to the "I can't take it anymore and wanna kill them all" point. I'm just glad at least you aren't one of them, and you actually seem to follow the tenets of your religion properly, unlike 99% of Christians around here. At this point, yeah, if I was in charge, I would ban public religious rights and people would have to keep it in their own homes. Churches absolutely should not be tax-free either, since they use their money to support conservative candidates. I kid you not, if a person walked up to me and called me a sinner and told me I was going to hell, I'd beat the ever-living fuck out of them for it.

This is the essence of why liberals find themselves hating America and supporting Islam; namely, their infernal hatred of Christianity. The liberal just doesn't have the guts to advocate genocide, but sees that the Muslims do, and they like that.

The day any sitting President turns a podium into a lecturn, and waxes theologically, he has overstepped his office.

How nice of the NYT to accredit this to some “theologian” ...when in truth it is every “progressives” belief that America is the core of the worlds problems ...

ISLAM: THE AWFUL TRUTH

By Justin O. Smith

American Thinker October 4, 2014

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3211166/posts

Islam is violent and repressive, and its sacred texts are the heart of darkness at the center of the Islamic State's inspiration and motivation, despite Barack Obama's assertions in September 10th's address to the nation that the Islamic State "is not Islamic" and that "no religion condones the killing of innocents." Violence is an integral part of Islamic doctrine, following the example set by its Prophet Mohammed, and in the name of Islam and Allah, Muslims have been murdering innocents, since 656 AD.

Six hundred years after Mohammed, one of Islam's most respected scholars, Ibn Khuldan wrote 'Muqaddimah' (Introduction to History), which explained: "In the Muslim community, the holy war is religious duty, because of the universalism of the Muslim mission and [the obligation to] convert everybody to Islam either by persuasion or force."

Like most good Muslims, Khaldun's inspiration came from 'The Verse of the Sword', Sura 9:5, "revealed" towards the end of Mohammed's life, as well as similar themes previous to Sura 9:

Sura 9:5__ “...kill the Mushrikun (unbelievers) wherever you find them ... But if they repent and perform As-Salat/ Iqamat-as-Salat [the Islamic ritual prayers], then leave their way free..." Also Sura 9:33__ "It is He [Allah] Who has sent His Messenger [Mohammed] with guidance and the religion of truth [Islam], to make it superior over all religions..."

Radical Islamist: 'Acceptable' to Burn Jordanian Pilot Alive?Radical Islamic activist Anjem Choudary proclaimed on Thursday that the barbaric execution of a Jordanian pilot could be "acceptable behavior" under the rules of jihad.

Long before the Crusades, starting with Mohammed to the present times, the Muslims have been committing unbelievable atrocities in the name of Allah and Islam. Jesus preached love, even for our enemies; Muhammad, with his scimitar in hand, ordered to behead or to burn alive the infidels that did not convert to Islam.

“But doesn’t Islam prohibit burning people alive? To answer this question, we need to first look at Muhammad, who spoke for Allah (4:80) and is considered the standard of perfect conduct for Muslims (33:21). Muhammad had no qualms about burning people.

In December 627 Muhammad led an attack against the Al-Mustalaq tribe. Because that tribe fought back, Muhammad ordered their fortifications to be set on fire, even though the Muslims knew there were women and children inside.

Around June 628, when Kinanah bin al-Rabi of the Jewish Bani al-Nadir tribe would not reveal where his conquered tribe’s treasures were hidden, Muhammad ordered one of his soldiers, “Torture him until you extract what he has,” so a fire was built on Kinanah’s chest until Kinanah nearly died.

In June 632, after Muhammad’s death, an attack on Ubna that he had earlier ordered took place. The leader of the Muslim force said,

the Messenger of God commanded me and this was his last command to me: …to raid them, without inviting them [to Islam], and to destroy and burn.

The Life of Muhammad: Al-Waqidi’s Kitab al-Maghazi, p. 549

And Muhammad even considered burning down Muslims’ houses around them to compel their attendance at congregational prayers:
