I say let her believe Pope Francis is great. (I hope she’s right.) No point arguing with a 93-year-old. God bless her.
I lost my dear mother in 2007, when she was less than 2 months from turning 95. I miss her terribly, but I am often comforted with knowing that she — and my father — are not around to see what our society has become.
Let us continue daily prayer which includes praying for all clergy.
(((
Amen! Amen!
I have been a Catholic since my baptism as an infant, and have never even considered changing that. I have also gone to mass outside the parish I lived in any time I did not care for a priest and his liberal views-even here in nowhereland there are 4 choices within 22 miles.
I do know a few people who are saying they will go to a local Lutheran or Methodist church for the foreseeable future because of the socialist/liberal preaching of this pope. My response to that is always-read the history-the Church has survived rogue popes before and it will surely survive this one-and I believe that. Cardinal Burke has the courage of his convictions, and is a fine example.
Burke is a man of his convictions, and I fully support that in the Judeo-Christian sense.
I would encourage a visit to an orthodox or perhaps a conservative synagogue too. It’s kind of interesting to explore one’s roots.
