Salvation is not an intellectual event.. or an "emotional" event .. it is a spiritual event

1 Cor …13which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. 14But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. 15But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one.…

If he has not accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior, what good did it do him? He is still lost as a goose. Belonging to a church group does not save anyone.

Just because someone is evangelical does not mean he is saved.

He went from trusting men to trusting a church. Nowhere does he say he accepted Jesus.

How do we get those who don’t agree with Rome to stop being so obsessed with Rome?

How do we get those who partially agree with Rome to stop being so obsessed with those who don't fully?

Anders and Swaggart both said that they were taught as children to strongly oppose the Catholic Church.

And Catholic babes in arms hear that Prots are ANATHAMA from day one.

As an alleged expert,he is making a general statement about evangelical beliefs, i.e. if you are an evangelical you will believe believe thus and so. The general statement is a lie. As an academic, he should know to be precise in his language. If he wanted to carve out a place for evangelicals that are not covered under his statement, he would have cited the statement to be his opinion.

When it was said before (by some anti-Catholic around here) that "Catholic priests are child molesters" when Catholics...

I see you've QUOTES something but not shown from where it was taken.

"some" does not help me any.

I want to SEE your 'quote' in situ so I can instruct 'some' anti-catholics in proper posting.

I also like to chat occasionally on Paltalk where I am known as Fact Checker

Golly!

I like to check facts; too!

Protestants put words in Jesus’ mouth on a fairly regular basis.

A mighty bold claim for a one-eyed fat man.

Where's the beef?

That's kind of my point...usually non-Catholics are quick with the snap judgment regarding others salvation.

We have to be. Our institutions have not codifed that FACT that there is NO salvation outside the Catholic Church.

What is it, three or four hundred different churches of scriptural experts?

I'm glad you AGREE with the MASS of Catholic Experts quoted in #95

I don’t think Rome does interpret them wrongly.

Of course you don't. You've accepted Rome's word without question.

Someday; the questions will come.

That statement makes no sense.

That's because the definition of FRUIT is left as an exercise for the reader.

Thus; the sentence can ACTUALLY mean anything you want.

Well the fact of the matter is he didn’t say “All Evangelicals..etc”

NOW the facts are coming out; after I apparently wasted my time replying to a 'factiod'!
