A Christian nurse says the U.K.'s National Health Service suspended her for "harassment and bullying" because she prayed a short prayer for her Muslim colleague who was going through heath and personal problems. The nurse is filing a legal challenge against the NHS.
"God, I trust You will bring peace and You will bring healing," Victoria Wasteney, a 37-year-old senior occupational health therapist at the John Howard Centre, a secure mental hospital in east London, prayed for her Muslim colleague, Enya Nawaz, 25, according to The Telegraph.
East London NHS Foundation Trust suspended her for nine months, but on full pay. The complaint was filed by the colleague after her juniors allegedly pressured her to do so, according to The Daily Mail.

I was stating that not commenting was the best response to the article itself. I was left speechless by the ridiculous nature of the article.
Nine months on full pay. I’m sure some still-rational hospital will snap her up before November.
Pat Condell talks about this all the time. Over in the UK people can bash the hell out of Christianity, but the second you say or do anything slightly offensive about Islam you get charged with a hate crime. And people thought Chamberlain was an appeaser.

I for one, though, would not have budged unless it was a full-fledged Senior, Fatwah-spewing, Muslim. She should have told the Junior cadets (or cadettes) to run along...
Several years ago, when I was struggling whether or not to accept Christ and become a Christian, a friend of mine (who is now an airline Captain) gave me a challenge. If Christ is not the Son of God, then why does Evil constantly attack Him? That very day, I went to workout at the gym. A music video came on, and it was a demonic band mocking Christ and the crucifixion. It was so gross that someone changed the channel. Then I listened to the radio on the way home, and the host was spewing venom at Jesus and Christians. That night, I watched CNN, and as the debate swung to the subject of Jesus, the leftists turned angry and hateful.
Since Victoria's on paid vacation for the next nine months, does that mean the mentally-ill will be doing without occupational health therapy? Maybe they'll find a Moslem therapist to teach them to make bombs ...
