Spencer and his brother were adopted from Russia when they were 3. His brother was dropped during birth by the attending doctor, who didn’t know there was a second baby and has a brain injury as well as autism. He is in a respite care home and will be coming home next week as soon as they can get his medications right.
Spencer has had headaches for a month and was attributed to a sinus infection. Last night, an MRI showed a very large tumor. He is heading to surgery now and it is not known how he will be when he wakes up. It is in the part of the brain that controls language and understanding, which the doctors have prepared her for. He may lose his ability to talk.
The father has been paying child support but not any court ordered medical bills - it is my understanding that he is required to pay for all extra medical bills. My friend is working 2 jobs to pay for all of these expenses. The amount accrued over the past 10 years is staggering. The father gives the court old addresses so it is hard to get him served. They are dealing with three to five different states and she has moved to Georgia so different laws apply. She can’t afford an attorney to find him and fight this.
Please pray for both of these 17 year olds and my friend, who has raised two fine young men.

Lord please guide the surgeons’ hands, and let Spencer’s surgery go well, and be successful. Let him have a fast and complete recovery. I will pray for Spencer and his brother.

Father God,
We give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gives the victory! By Jesus’ stripes we were healed. Nothing is impossible for You.
We lift up Spensor and his brother to You. You knew them before they were in their mother’s womb, You know the plans You have for them - plans for good and not for evil to give them a future and a hope.
May rest and peace fall upon this family as they keep their eyes on You.
We speak to the minds of these brothers and declare, “Be healed in the name of Jesus.”
We pray for restoration and healing and may everything be done to the glory of God.
In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
