And I can’t forget the ridiculous spectacle of holding each other’s hands during the Our Father, something that was first started at AA meetings in the 60s by hippies, and carried over into protestant services. Now this feely, feely, hippy nonsense is taking place in Catholic Churches all over the country. I refuse to hold anyone’s hands when I am praying in church.

All liturgical abuses.

I would pray to Mary, just to be on the safe side.

While you’re at it you should sacrifice a goat to Zeus, just to keep all the bases covered.

I was told about 25 minutes ago that Catholics are not Christians.

A poster on one of the Free Republic Catholic/Protestant battle threads claimed Moslems could go to Heaven but Protestants were damned.

That didn’t do much to open a dialog...

I have taken ten of the most believed or written about misconceptions about Catholics or the Church and debunked them (with evidence wherever possible).

Who you trying to kid??? Saying, 'I deny it', is not evidence...And then right in the first denial,

All Catholic homes have a Bible and the Bible is taught in Catholic schools (as is its perennial tradition).

So you start out with a provable lie and your post is supposed to be legitimate??? And you are a priest???

“I would pray to Mary, just to be on the safe side.”

That expresses doubt in Christ, a crisis of faith.

There have been many threads on FR about how Catholics need to leave the Catholic Church and become Christians.

Your religion does not teach bible Christianity...It teaches its own version of religion which adopts phrases and props from the bible to appear as Christianity...

It's pretty obvious that there are Christians in Catholicism since so many leave your religion in search of the real Jesus...

I was told about 25 minutes ago that Catholics are not Christians.

That's likely because some (or all) of you claim all Catholics are Christians which is ridiculous...30 years ago, it was an insult to call a Catholic a Christian...Whenever I would ask a person if he/she was a Christian, all of the Catholics would respond with, NO, I am a Catholic...

We ask for Mary’s prayers, we don’t pray to her. Prayer and worship is for God alone.

There's not an ounce of truth in that statement...It's been proven so many times on FR and yet you guys make that claim...Is honesty not a part of your religious beliefs???

I had a room-mate who was an Evangelical Christian. In his eyes, if you aren’t ‘saved’, you’re destined to go to hell....this included Catholics.

You should have payed attention to him...

I do believe you are judging us. That is for Jesus alone. Take us at our word.

It’s any “religion” after 600 AD I have qualms about!

Religions aren't Christian...People are Christian...

Glad you didn’t listen to him.

He was denying the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.

**That they are following a false doctrine.**

Luther was excommunicated. Are you saying he had a true doctrine?

I don’t think he did since he got married, disobeyed other church laws for priests.

So what's that mean??? Catholic alcoholics don't go to AA, they just go to Mass???

**The Catholic Church LEADS PEOPLE INTO HELL !

WAKE UP and GET OUT OF THAT SATANIC CHURCH ! **

Two questions:

Why are you yelling?

Why are you posting falsehoods?

Are you having a problem with the facts?

St. Jerome compiled the Bible.

The first Bible printed by the Gutenberg press was the Catholic Vulgate.
