Oh, my, what would all these protestants do if Rick Warren converted to Catholicism?

"Well....bye!"

We would say, “hallelujah, well glory, and God is great.”. He does not teach from the Bible anyway.

There is only ONE Catechism of the Catholic Church. There is only one Magisterium of the Catholic Church. How many Catechisms of the Protestant “Church” do we have? Answer: Each person is their own little catechism and megisterium and authority on right and wrong. That’s why the Catholic Church after 2,000 years is still far and way the biggest Christian faith on the planet.

Seems like every time the Pope says something y'all come up with multiple interpretations of what he meant. How is that different?

Answer: It isn't!

I can sum my views in a few sentences. It’s pretty easy when you have ONE CATHOLIC CHURCH and 50,000 ecclesial communities
that are not Christian churches but all 50,000 claim they are. Each little Joe Smith is his own little church and supreme authority on the Bible. If you don’t believe it just ask him. LOL.

Not me. You read my postings. You know what I think of the protestant Francis mascarading as Catholic.

I'm surprised you gave it that much thought. Based on your post, I'm not sure you gave it any.

Oh, my, what would all these protestants do if Rick Warren converted to Catholicism?

Nothing. What do you expect them to do over it? It must be fun to think that Protestantism would melt down over it.

Have at it, but what a pathetic existence.

However, non-Catholics do not follow men like Catholics do. So if one goes over the edge, it does not drag the whole denomination down with it.

And what dedicated Catholics will never understand is that those who put their faith in Christ alone by faith alone will never be affected by an individual or an organization that falls into error. The propensity to follow a man or individual will always lead into error.

*Nothing. What do you expect them to do over it? It must be fun to think that Protestantism would melt down over it.* Where does the line of thinking even come from that ANY church leaders changing their denomination would matter at all?... ....... Christians don't follow leaders we follow Jesus!

I'd bet they'd NOT have hissy fits like the Catholics are doing over their newest pope!

Safe bet to say more have “went over the edge” from protestantism to Catholicism than the other way around. The Catholic Church is growing, not shrinking and protestantism can not say the same thing. Lapsed Catholics make up the worst Catholic bashers around. Guilt is a hell of thing to have to live with. They go through their life trying to justify why they left the only church started by Christ for one started by a mortal man a couple hundred years ago.

“Oh, my, what would all these protestants do if Rick Warren converted to Catholicism?”

If Rick believes God wants him to begin fellowshipping with Catholics, I’m fine with it - or anyone else. And every time a Catholic comes to faith in Christ and wants to go the other way, I’m fine with that too.

“...let each be convinced in their own mind.”

“That’s why the Catholic Church after 2,000 years is still far and way the biggest Christian faith on the planet.”

To make this claim, you must count very, very large numbers or registered members who never attend - ever.

Now, if there is some compelling reason to you personally to count like this, I’m down with that NK. Whatever brings you happiness.

I would remind you though that in the Bible, the largest groups of people are always wrong...

“And what was God’s answer to him? “I have reserved for myself seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” Romans 11:4

Why did God not reserve many, many more to increase His numbers??
