Contrast his cavalier advice with that of St. Francis of Assisi’s:
“I conjure you all to show all reverence and all honor possible to the most holy Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ,” St. Francis wrote in his Letter to All the Friars, “in whom the things that are in heaven and the things that are on earth are pacified and reconciled to Almighty God.”

Newsweek doesn’t recognize God.
God’s directive, including the statement that sodomy is an abomination, means nothing to Newsweek or the people who own it or work there.
I do not believe that Pope Francis would say homosexuality is acceptable to God, or to Roman Catholicism in general.
Who knows, it's even possible it's true. (And whether it's complete is another question. The Pope didn't even take a breath? Didn't add, "We'll get him back to Mass. There's no safe place in this world, except in Christ"? Never said another word about "He needs the Lord, so we must pray for him that he makes a deep connection to our loving Jesus and His Church"?)
If so--- if he never said another word about the kid's desperate spiritual needs --- it would be pathetic. That endangered kid needs Our Lord in the Mass and the Eucharist far more than any power on earth to save him from the squalor and sin of his surroundings.
But it's funny that such a poignant story exists noplace else in cyberspace. It makes me wonder.

St. Francis of Assisi. Now there was a real radical. They didn’t call him the Poverello for nothing. I saw his habit in the museum there. It was all patches stitched together. I don’t know how it survived so long.
Rome has refused to refute an adultereress’s claim that Pope Francis told her, in a phone call, to find another Catholic Church to receive Holy Communion.
Rome has acknowledged the call was made, but will not confirm or deny the above claim.
It’s been a long, long time for the Pope to hold his breath on the above issue; especially for a man with only one lung.
Yet, just recently he held a Sin-Nod to push to push the issue.
Do not badger another Freeper by asking him the same question over and over again. That is also a form of “making it personal.” If you haven’t received an answer after asking once or twice, then “no answer” is your answer.
And Francis recognizes false gods when he rejects four of the Ten Commandments.
My attitude towards Pope Francis is identical to that of Ann Barnhardt’s attitude.
I don't know. Did the Pope tell the same thing to Tony Palmer, whom he discouraged from converting to Catholicism, yet ordered him buried as a "bishop" of the Catholic Church?
I assume the story is false - you know, as in ‘fictional’.
