The city of Houston, Texas (Mayor Annise Parker), has issued subpoenas for pastors' sermons... Not surprised at all.
To get right to the point without taking up any unnecessary space, who do statists want Separation of A.) Church and B.) State, but not Separation of B.) State and A.) Church? They apparently want the forward of this, but not the reverse.
And they want religious folk to butt out of politics, but they seize every opportunity to stick their noses into the affairs of religious folk. In your opinion, why do you think this is; what do the statists want?

It was a rhetorical question, but I still wanted to see if anyone here could provide any additional paradigm shift opinion on the matter.

They are targeting religious institutions for the sole purpose of violating ones conscience and religious views, which are codified.
Further, they are very picky about which religion they want litigate with.
There ought to be a way find then litigious litigants as a class of people.
Furthermore, they are in fact a seperate group and society
They demand the law be used to equalize their “sexual preference”.
They hold festivals and bawdy parties that specifically exclude non LGBT’s, they have their own jokes about breeders and a becoming very clear about this new God they supposedly worship, who says all people and all acts are normal.
Moreover, that we are all the same.
Can’t be physically, can’t be emotionally, and we can’t be as a matter if certain expediancies (is that a word?)
It’s all relative and like the worst of alcoholics, they believe there should be judgment.
It’s juvenile and pretty soon they are going ti realize they have objectified themselves as a sexual identity, instead of a person who has a name, has a job, does interesting things and has something in common with others beside an anus with hemorroids.

To use the power of the state to be able to punish and to keep punishing those who they know will never accept ‘gay marriage’ or whatever other impossibility the state decides to define as marriage. It’s not to change them or convince them, it’s to be able to keep punishing using an issue they know their worst enemies simply can’t change their opinion on. It’s the stick they will never have to put down, in my opinion.

In fact there is a minister in Canada right now who is under criminal charges and will go to prison if he so much as reads a passage from the Bible that can be interpreted as negative towards homosexuals.
