More and more there is talk in Rome that this synod is being engineered by groups intent on steering the Church in a heterodox direction, and increasingly evidence is coming to light that points to it.
. It still remains unclear who exactly wrote it and how many eyes had seen it before it was made public, but the strong criticisms of it from such Church leaders as Cardinals Raymond Burke and Gerhard Mueller are enough to point to a lamentable lack of scrutiny, with consequences for souls.
Archbishop Bruno Forte, the synod’s special secretary, known to be a keen advocate for changes in pastoral practice, is thought to have been one of the main authors -- certainly the passages on homosexuality that drew most media attention.
It's also believed the general rapporteur, Cardinal Peter Erdo, was cajoled into signing off on it. To help the cardinal along, observers say, he was given five assistants on Friday, including Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, Cardinal Donald Wuerl and Fr Adolfo Nicolas, the head of the Jesuits. There was notably no one from Africa, but as Cardinal Walter Kasper told me yesterday, these five were chosen because they are “open people who want to go on with this.”

No, the first and most obvious example was at the special consistory back in February when Kasper first presented his poison (at the Pope's invitation) and the Pope lauded it as "serene theology".
The fix was in from that point.
So the Catholic church is joining the rest of Big Religion in circling the bowl?
The leadership gathered members together at an off-site to discuss future expansion. There were a number of directions people indicated they might want to go. We broke into groups (about a dozen groups) with each group having a designated leader. Each group hashed out the Pros and Cons of various possible expansion methods (outreach, satellite churches, more services, larger building, etc.)
As the afternoon went on, I realized that they were clearly doing the Delphi Technique to steer us toward a pre-determined outcome.
In the end, there was a free and nearly unanimous decision to build a new, larger church building. That decision was reached at about 5:30 Sunday night.
The professionally printed brochures showing us what the expanded church building would look like arrived via US mail the very next day.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
If so, then one group will celebrate it another will revile it while a third will ask that we wait for its true implications to work themselves out over time.
The Lefebvrians are biting their tongues trying not to shout "We told you so!" too loudly.
I’m not a Catholic.
But I will tell you this.
Anyone who is arguing for or making a case to soften any Church’s stance against Homosexuality isn’t a Christian and is not doing God’s will.
They are the Chaff amongst the Wheat.
Delphi, Lefebvrians... would draw a blank stare from most people.
If this is accurate then Forte is guilty of causing scandal and should be sanctioned.
Did you consider confronting them with the dishonesty of their techniques and their undermining of the trust of the members of the church?
Having this leaked and then retracted is far worse than never having it leaked all. But then, they knew that.
I pray that it is authentic.
Oh, I did. I spoke to people in the congregation — they told me it couldn’t be true. Then I spoke to the pastor, simply told her I knew exactly what she did, and said I wasn’t coming back.
Good for you. It might not seem you made an effect, but I believe that where people refuse corruption in a church, God personally gets involved in the matter on levels the perps can’t even imagine. Not to mention you passed a test of your own soul, which brings literally incalculable benefits.
So what is the end game?
When the group trying to run a Delphi scheme runs into road blocks, the first step is to make sure those people are neutralized.
The people the members elected to write the report were too conservative, so they changed the goal posts and appointed a bunch of the ‘liberals’ to do it.

They will get this fixed for the final report. About 25 years ago I understood for the first time that John's Gospel was written for me, personally, like he knew I would need to read it, with Amazing Grace, circa 1990.
I've never been into this homosexuality thing, partly because I think lads and lasses fit together about as good as it gets in nature. Nevertheless, I have more than my share of faults.
When the Jewish elders threw the adultress before Jesus to demand that he condemn her, lo and behold, he didn't. He did admonish her to go forth and sin no more.
It says right here that she left that confrontation relieved that Jesus arranged for her to keep her life, went forth planning to live up to truth, justice and the American way, and promptly sinned again that night with a whole 'nuther adulterer.
It further says right here that Jesus knew that was in the cards. That was why he told the rest of the boys in another venue that you needed to forgive seventy times seven times when confronting the weaknesses inherent in those of us recruited from the human race.
I'm one of these guys who thinks homosexuality is perversion and sinful. I bet 99.99% of homosexuals have thought the same thing at one time or another and wonder why they are so afflicted.
I think the Catholic Church can welcome homosexuals with kindness while teaching that sin is sin. I can't swear it's any worse than my sins. It's just different. That is, we can welcome homosexuals without changing Catholic doctrine by a fraction of a scintilla.
Indeed, I know at least two homosexuals who are practicing Catholics and, for all I know, more accepted among the angels than I am.
The Catholic Church doesn't need to change at all. She has always welcomed sinners, and, for my benefit, I hope she always will. Heck's bells, we once had some Borgia like popes who were as bad as nay and worse than most.
The day the Catholic Church says sinning is OK or a good thing, she'll lose me, and this sinner needs a place of refuge. I'm way too lazy to get 'er done on my own.

They're essentially later day Donatists who the queer loving few within the Vatican knew they could rely on to spread panic and scream about this the same way they scream about everything that's happened since the turn of the nineteenth century.
If the scam report hadn't made it out to the media the way it did it would have made it out through a leak to the crowd who want to see the Church fragment the same way Protestantism has.
I am shocked, shocked to find intrigue in the RCC.
I still say this was a trial balloon and I’m not buying that most did not expect this to go public.
