Nuns on the Bus: check out their ride!
WDTPRS ^ | September 29, 2014 | Fr. John Zuhlsdorf

I was recently sent a link to a page about the Nuns on the Bus tour taking place. This is effort run by Sr. Simone Campbell of the lobby group NETWORK to sign up as many people who will vote for democrats (the pro-abortion party) as possible.

Here is a video about their luxury bus.

Not really.

Thes are REAL nuns. Look at their young faces.

Let me see if I can 'splain this for you.

These "nuns" on the bus are apostate sisters who have betrayed their vows. They are also outright liars - they claim to represent thousands of sisters, but they actually are just a very few "leaders" of orders that have no vocations and have very few members, all quite elderly. They are spending the accumulated wealth of their orders because their numbers have dwindled to the vanishing point. That bus costs nearly $1500 a DAY to rent.

The Church has attempted to discipline them and is in the process of investigating their misuse of money and their rejection of Catholic teaching . . . but the LCWR is fighting them every step of the way and whining to the media.

Here's the real problem: the news media is HAPPY to claim that this tiny group of apostates actually represents the Church. They ignore the many orthodox contemplative, teaching, and charitable orders brimming over with young, enthusiastic novices and sisters . . . because that doesn't advance the liberal narrative.

So please don't be taken in by the media. Normally FReepers are very suspicious of media motives and narratives. Keep to your usual practice and you will not be led astray.

It does not appear to me that Obadiah needs any 'splainin' at all. You two seem to be saying the same thing in different ways, at least as far as I can tell.

So please don't be taken in by the media. Normally FReepers are very suspicious of media motives and narratives. Keep to your usual practice and you will not be led astray.

Obadiah was clear on this point.

"NOW the MSM love them, but otherwise they are freaks."

One calls them "freaks", the other, "apostate sisters".

Just my point of view here.

Fair enough. Think it could have been misconstrued though.
