Pope Francis, "If Mary is not your Mother, you are an orphan!"
Charisma News ^ | 9/5/2014 | Jennifer LeClaire

Pope Francis has been a breath of fresh air for many Catholics seeking greater liberty and a growing concern for conservative Christians who take issue with his comments about homosexuality and other cultural issues.

But the pontiff's latest statement is sparking an uproar from believers around the world. Pope Francis sent a tweet Tuesday that absolutely violates the truth of Scripture:

"The Christian who does not feel that the Virgin Mary is his or her mother is an orphan," Pope Francis tweeted.

As of the time I wrote this column it had been retweeted about 4,000 times and many of the responses were in appropriately unkind. It's not appropriate to attack the pope for his beliefs. It's more appropriate to share the truth...

Semiramis was called “mother of god” and that is why catholic sun god worshipers falsely call Mary the same, as a proxy for Semiramis/Easter.

Calvin, Luther, and Zwingli wrote no scripture, and knew not Yeshua, our savior.

BTW, Mary had three more sons, and at least as many daughters.

This is why I have no expectation of meeting any catholics on the sea of fire and glass.

All one has to do is READ it.

Just like all one has to do is READ the Bible.

It’s not that complicated.......

...the truth is the Catholic Church

Jesus would disagree with you

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me
It does not say "I am the way, the Catholic church, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me after being pointed in my direction by Mary after she is prayed to.

The simple message of the Bible is just that, simple truths that lead to a born again relationship with Jesus Christ and by extension Father God.

Jesus nailed it, and then was nailed to the cross for daring to profess that He...and only He...is the pathway to God.

It is so easy to understand that children understand the Bible. OT: I am living in a townhouse until we decide what to do with my house. Went over there and am so upset. Found these things missing:
All my stainless silverware. They even got things from the dishwasher.
Pots, pans, lids
All dishes
All glassware
$425 in rolled quarters
I am so disgusted that people would do that. Talked o my insurance lady and she told me to make a list of things missing. Have not looked in bedrooms, basement, etc.

“No one in the first centuries ever believed Mary was sinless”

Yes they did.

“Mary, a Virgin not only undefiled but a Virgin whom Grace has made inviolate, free of every stain of sin.” - St.Ambrose (c.340-397)

That is hardly the first Centuries...400 years after Jesus was born some yahoo decides Mary was sinless??? NOPE...

One early dispute in the Church took place when John was still alive. They asked him to settle the dispute. He told them to go to the fourth pope, Pope Clement I in Rome. Clement ruled and the matter was settled.

One early dispute??? I don't believe your traditional story...

That claim is not scripturally true and not even historically true according to research in the article here; http://www.cogwriter.com/clement.htm

It seemed clear to me in the first few paragraphs...

I implore Euodia and I implore Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord. And I urge you also, true companion, help these women who labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:2-3).

They are claiming Clement was a disciple of Peter...Peter was long gone preaching to the circumcision...Clement would have been hanging with that group...

And 2, if there was going to be a pope out of Paul's group preaching to the Gentiles, it most certainly would have been Timothy, not Clement...

This next one really got me...

4. CLEMENT I, ST. (88-97)...He was among the first baptized by St. Peter...Clement was the one to introduce the liturgical vestments into the sacred functions and the use of the word Amen. He appointed seven notaries, one for each ecclesiastical area of Rome, to edit and file all information regarding martyred Christians...He can be considered the first pope to have abdicated (Lopes A. The Popes: The lives of the pontiffs through 2000 years of history. Futura Edizoni, Roma, 1997, p. 2).

Oh ya brother, that's it...

Luk_20:46 Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts;

Paul's helper Clement came up with the idea and design for fancy long robes and the highest seats in the synagogues...Ya, Paul tells us all about those guys like 'this' Clement...

.
Where do we find any evidence of Peter having disciples?

The Catholic Church is the body is Jesus, he’s the head.

Where 2 or more people are gathered together, that is a church. No where is the Catholic church mentioned. Jesus is the head of every Bible believing church.

Close.

It’s catholic, “universal”

Biblically, the body of Christ is made up of every born again believer.

Some in the Catholic denomination qualify.

If the Catholic church declares that the body of Christ is only made up of Catholics, (as your post seems to infer) then they are off track Biblically.

You hate the Catholic Church you hate Christ.

Who said I “hate” anyone? I disagree with your dogma. You seem to react to my disagreement with hatred, rage, condescension and arrogance.

I love my Lord. I simply won't kow-tow to the modern day pharisees and scribes who tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them. They claim the authority to shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. They refuse to enter, and yet they forbid entry to any who are trying to enter. They travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when they have succeeded, they make them twice as much a child of hell as they are.

They clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean.

They are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean. In the same way, on the outside they appear to people as righteous but on the inside they are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.

I believe that these are the Nethinims. The OT speaks of them taking on priesthood duties when the Levitts got lazy. Most of them are Kenittes.

Trusting Calvin is not the same as trusting Christ.

How about Calvin and Hobbes?

You refuse to accept we don't need any mediator other than Jesus, The Christ, The Messiah, The One and Only Redeemer (no "co-redeemer" available nor necessary), Himself.

Go put some crowns of flowers on your favorite statue and pray for understanding. Figure out which “saint” was put in place of Minerva. She was the pagan goddess of wisdom.

There is no salvation outside the Catholic Church. And I could care less what liberal garbage came out of Vatican II, which was hijacked by protestants.

Yes there is. The Bible does not say anything about being one to accept Jesus. Where do y’all get this belief? It sure isn’t from the Bible. Some of y’all sure seem to have a lot of hatred for Protestants. If I were y’all I sure would ask for forgiveness. Bless your hearts.

Salvation is through the Catholic Church. End of story. I don’t sugercoat false religions and protestants preach a false religion and have been for 500 years.
