There is no re-forming it into something new.

Thus the problem with the Reformation.

However it is clear, and taught by Jesus Himself, WHO it is we are to pray and how we are to do it. He gave us the words.

Stringing together a bunch of cherry picked phrases picked out from verses in the Bible to make up something, does not make it Scriptural.

This is the part I really like.

And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation. He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree. He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away. He hath helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy; As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever.

Ah, Air Force Vet, but reformation does not mean forming into something new......reformation is essentially a process of restoration...restoring it, in this case, to what God ordained, and what the Holy Spirit inspired in the first followers of Jesus did. They met in homes. No POPE! No CARDINALS! This is all man-made religion. God ordained none of that...

I had it memorized years ago, when I was still in the Catholic church.

I don’t pray that prayer as a prayer.

I use it as a template and I TALK to God. I tell Him about things that concern me and ask Him to do things. It’s a conversation, not rote recital.

That’s Scripture.

The Hail Mary is not found as is in the Bible as a prayer to be prayed to her.

“And the truth shall set you free”. When have you ever replied to one thing I have posted? Never. Then you do and it’s nonsense because you don’t like the message.

It is disappointing that you are making an argument that assumes God is not omnipotent.

It is disappointing that you are making a strawman that cannot be defended.

They asked, "Teach us HOW to pray."

Not...

Teach us WHAT to pray.

Thus the problem with the Reformation.

Thus the REASON for the COUNTER Reformation.

Revelation 8:4 shows that saints can pass prayers of the faithful to God. The verse does not describe the logistics in exact detail, especially with regard to large numbers of prayers.

Mark 12:24-27

New International Version (NIV)

Marriage at the Resurrection

18 Then the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to him with a question. 19 “Teacher,” they said, “Moses wrote for us that if a man’s brother dies and leaves a wife but no children, the man must marry the widow and raise up offspring for his brother. 20 Now there were seven brothers. The first one married and died without leaving any children. 21 The second one married the widow, but he also died, leaving no child. It was the same with the third. 22 In fact, none of the seven left any children. Last of all, the woman died too. 23 At the resurrection[c] whose wife will she be, since the seven were married to her?”

24 Jesus replied, “Are you not in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God? 25 When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven. 26 Now about the dead rising—have you not read in the Book of Moses, in the account of the burning bush, how God said to him, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’[d]? 27 He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are badly mistaken!”

OOOOps!

Verses 26-27 point out that God is the God of the living. St Paul tells us not even death separates us from God. Therefore, we are still alive in Christ after bodily death.

Even Lazurus’ sister knew he be alive AT THE RESURRECTION.

Why do you ignore the plain teaching of Scripture?

What part of “dead in Christ” do you fail to understand?
