MIKE BLOOMBERG: 'I've Earned My Place In Heaven — It's Not Even Close'

Now that he's out of office, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is stepping up his efforts to battle the National Rifle Association and expand gun control laws. Bloomberg detailed his plans in an interview with the New York Times published Monday — in which he predicted his crusades against guns, smoking, and obesity would serve him well in the afterlife.

"I am telling you if there is a God, when I get to heaven I’m not stopping to be interviewed. I am heading straight in. I have earned my place in heaven. It’s not even close," Bloomberg said.

Bloomberg is prepared to spend $50 million this year alone on his gun control push, The New York Times' Jeremy Peters reports.

According to the report, he will use the investment to build "a nationwide grass-roots network to motivate voters who feel strongly about curbing gun violence." Peters wrote that Bloomberg "tossed out the $50 million figure out as if he were describing the tip he left on a restaurant check" and hinted he could spend even more in his battle against the NRA.

My bad, I missed the part about Bloomberg saying “..if there is a God...” I think once you reach the Pearly Gates it might be a .0000001 second too late to determine that.

Heh. Wouldn’t it be interesting if people were thrown into a hell “of their own making”? Bloomberg could be tossed into some crime infested place without a weapon. Or in a womb with an ever-lasting abortion taking place on him.

Another fool who thinks he can make God a debtor.

I wonder how one can get a soul like that to reconsider his real status with God.

His pride is unbelievable, for such a little little man.

His arrogance is both amusing and breathtaking. “I’m not going to stop to be interviewed, I’m going right in!” OH REALLY? He might find himself being yanked back to the waiting room by one of those long shephard hooks they used in Vaudeville to get the bad actors off the stage.

My bet is he's ripe for a really long stretch in Purgatory. And that's if he's lucky!

Easier to pass a camel through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
Good luck Bloomie.

Instead of spending 50 million bucks promoting “assured victimhood” with the idea that he can buy his way into heaven, Blooming Idjit should spend some time getting to know the meaning of “grace.”

IMO Bloomers doesn’t believe in G-d. He made this statement just to outrage those who do, which he assumes all NRA members to be.

Hope his last words are one long loud scream like Stalin who saw the gates of Hell opening before him.

Comment:
Pride (arrogance) is the primary, lead-off first one of the SEVEN DEADLY SINS. Bloomberg nailed it.

1. I think you are correct.
2. Did Stalin really end his life with a scream? How fitting.

I have had the privilege of meeting a few really holy, saintly people in this sad, fallen world ... people whose love for Our Lord was obvious in what they said, and what they did ... and what they refrained from saying and doing. They were all very humble and self effacing, particularly about personal holiness.

Then we have petty tyrants like this Bloomberg creep ...

I embellished a little, there. There are accounts from those surrounding Stalin on his deathbed that several times he appeared to breathe his last, but then finally his eyes opened, wide with terror, as he raised his hand and pointed at something that appeared to be above & behind the watchers at his bedside. Stalin seemed to be trying to tell them what he saw (the Gates of Hell), but then his hand dropped down & he died.

I still think Bloomberg is an atheist. That monstrous ego could never admit to the reality of a Higher Being.

"I am telling you if there is a God..

If there is a God......??

you might want to lock that down as God does indeed exist. bloomie seems to be hedging his bets and won't come out and clearly say if God does or doesn't exist.

GOD'S NOT DEAD!

is this what you're looking for?

On Questions #2 let me offer the following: I am not inclined to think Stalin made this statement of regret. I found these words about Stalin’s deathbed scene, as described by his daughter, Svetlana, in Allen Bullock’s Hitler and Stalin. She says:

"The death agony was terrible. God grants an easy death only to the just. He literally choked to death as we watched. At what seemed like the very last moment he suddenly opened his eyes and cast a glance over everyone in the room. It was a terrible glance, insane or perhaps angry and full of fear of death. . .Then something incomprehensible and terrible happened that to this day I can’t forget. . .He suddenly lifted his left hand as though he were pointing to something up above and bring down a curse on us all. The gesture was incomprehensible and full of menace. . .

What arrogance! Guess what Nanny Bloomberg, YOU do not judge whether or not you will enter Heaven. And HUBRIS or PRIDE, is one of the seven deadly sins, so your boast in itself means you do not love the Lord Your God with all your heart and all your strength because you put yourself above Him, so it’s more likely you won’t get into Heaven.
