Five arrested for planning Passover sacrifice on Temple Mount

Five Jewish Israelis were arrested Monday after allegedly attempting to sacrifice a goat at the Temple Mount in honor of the Passover holiday.

The suspects were brought in to a nearby police station for further questioning. The goat was transferred to representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Ynet reported.

In the bible,a special ritual sacrifice is commanded on the Passover holiday and the custom was practiced by Jews during the First and Second Temple periods when their central shrine stood on the same site that today houses the al-Aqsa Mosque and Dome of the Rock . However, most rabbinic authorities hold that the practice is forbidden nowadays.

Earlier Monday, Palestinian entry to the Temple Mount was restricted by Israeli security forces ahead of Passover. Only Muslim women and men over the age of 50 who have Israeli ID cards were permitted to enter the compound.

Tourists and Jews were barred from entering the site out of concern for potential altercations.

Disturbances on the Temple Mount are not uncommon, and often accompany political tension or visits by Israeli right-wing activists.

On Sunday, riot police were called in to quell a violent protest at the Temple Mount’s Mughrabi gate as the site opened to visitors in the morning.

Two police were lightly injured after rioters threw stones and two Molotov cocktails at about 8 a.m., police spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld said.

Police responded by entering the al-Aqsa mosque compound and using stun grenades and rubber bullets to disperse the rioters, he said.

Can you imagine one of them talking with an Israeli already in jail in the same cell?

Baruch: What are you in here for?

Shmuel: Oh, just trying to bring a goat korban (sacrifice) to the Eyn Sof (God) per Torah. We studied with our rabies on how to do everything kosher!

Baruch: Really?!!?!
Shmuel: Fer sure, dude! And we almost had the guards fooled at the checkpoint because we were dressed like Muzzies. But ONE OF US (looks back at his cohorts) forgot to take his kippah off before we ascended! But we’ve decided to implement a checklist for next year so little details won’t go overlooked and get us busted.

Baruch: (Rolls eyes, laughs a little inside...then starts thinking) Hey! Can I try the attempt with you next year? I’m a local criminal with lots of street wisdom. That’s something your rabbis didn’t teach you, did they?
Shmuel: No...so yes, you can join us for next year!

The adventures of Shmuel and Baruch to be continued...

Overheard at a previous checkpoint: “Good afternoon, Ms. Nicks!”

Sorry. The sacrifice has already been made.

Hebrews 9:24-26 (KJV)

24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: 25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; 26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

I don’t think I could go back to a sacrificial system. I think the Pharisees had it right with ‘prayer’ as sacrifice’s replacement.

I know there are some references to the 4 Blood Moons on FR, but I figured FR would just be buzzing about it. No matter what you think about it, you must admit that Israel has had major history on these times. Just like all Jews should be under their beds on the 9th of Av, these Blood Moons falling on Feast Days have always been consequential.

Temple sacrifice will be restored.
That is established.
The only question is how soon.

Sorry, to bust your bubble, but I'll show you the card that trumps yours forever.

Please turn with me in your Tanach (aka 'the Bible') to the Torah (aka 'five books of Moses') to Sh'mot (aka 'Exodus) and hit up the 12th chapter and read 1-13.

Now for the trump card... (drum roll, Marty!)

14. And this day shall be for you as a memorial, and you shall celebrate it as a festival for the Lord; throughout your generations, you shall celebrate it as an everlasting statute.

Even the Eyn Sof can't take this back.

“Therefore having such a hope, we use great boldness in our speech, and are not like Moses, who used to put a veil over his face so that the sons of Israel would not look intently at the end of what was fading away. But their minds were hardened; for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains unlifted, because it is removed in Christ. But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their heart; but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.”—2 Cor. 3

When God the Father sets something aside it IS SO. Jesus IS the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. The Jews missed The Father’s coming to them. That veil!

Only IN Christ is it removed.

In the first Temple period the Torah was followed in Spirit. During the second Temple it was followed in letter. When the third is built it will be followed in a balanced matter in both.

Eyn Sof appears to be a Kabbalistic term for “simple light” or “infinity”? I have a relative who has become involved in the Hebrew Roots movement, so I have done a small amount of research in that area. It was enough to know I was dealing with something other than “Paul’s gospel”. Being once a (faultless) legalistic Jew himself, one would think we’d find great encouragement in the way of the old. While he did uphold the God given Old, he made it quite clear that the Father had nailed all the ordinances and decrees that stood against us to the...CROSS. Jesus HIMSELF is the Way. Every other way is not the way.

I’m not waiting for someone else other than Christ Jesus to come, bringing salvation. Are you?

That’s the best way I can describe Him based on my personal experience with Him.

He’s beyond the physical and has never been is defined as such, but only as Spirit since Moses and even by the Jews who allied themselves with the now deified rabbi of the Christians (See John 4:24; God is Spirit, let us worship him in spirit and in truth.)

He is an eternal, infinite being of eternally, forgiving love, peace and light beyond anything you can begin to imagine.
