What Bible do you read? Jesus rebuked Peter and the others openly on more than one occasion...
You need to remember that all of this happened before the apostles received the Holy spirit.
Take another look at what Paul did before he received the Holy spirit.
What it proves to any one who gives it some thought is that you buy the Catholic theory, hook, line, and sinker.
Again, I see a statement totally based in ignorance. Paul made this reprimand but long after the upper room experience. Paul and Peter both were teaching and preaching all over. But, Peter's ministry was to Jews and Paul to the Gentiles.
Paul clearly states what he believed and live before his Damascus Road experience. I don't know what they are teaching you there, but it sure isn't from the Bible. Scripture is pretty clear, and I gave you specific instances where Jesus himself was chastising the apostles, and you come back with what?
Peter tried to make Jews into "Jews with a difference." He was hanging out with Gentiles, but held back from that when he was among his Jewish friends. That is what Paul was using as a basis for chastising Peter. The fact that it is recorded as Scripture, is solely the responsibility of the Holy Spirit. If you think otherwise, you really are missing the point. All Scripture is inspired by the Holy Ghost, and the people that wrote it or recorded it are just messengers and don't make the message.
Don't bother to give me more of the Roman Catholic doctrine. It says false as a Mormon doctrine. It places man into a position superior to God. My faith remains where it belongs. I don't need to look to Rome, and I don't get baptized for the dead. I depend on the Holy Spirit leading and guiding me every day of my life. Your church is just another breed of duck.
