‘We Need Reinforcements’ (Spiritual Warfare in the Texas abortion battle)
The Other McCain ^ | July 7, 2013 | Robert Stacy McCain

Robert E. Lee once famously paid tribute to the fighting ability of Texans: “I rely on Texas regiments in all tight places, and fear I have to call upon them too often. They have fought grandly, nobly.” During the Battle of the Wilderness, when it seemed the Confederate line could not hold, Lee rode his horse into the midst of the fighting to rally his troops. His soldiers urged him to go back, but Lee would not leave until reinforcements arrived. Learning that the fresh troops were from Texas, the general declared: “Texans always move them!” And so they did.

It was therefore somewhat confusing to learn last week that, in the fight to save innocent unborn lives in Texas, the forces of evil were so numerous and vocal as to discourage Christians:

The battle over the bill has attracted nationwide attention to Austin. During confrontations between supporters and opponents of the legislation at the state capitol last week, a group of anti-abortion protesters began singing the Christian hymn “Amazing Grace.” They were heckled by pro-abortion activists who chanted “Hail, Satan.” It was reported last week that a group called Grassroots Campaigns was offering to pay abortion supporters between $1,300 and $2,200 a month to participate in “our Pro Choice Campaign in Austin.”(continued)

Yea.

They were heckled by pro-abortion activists who chanted “Hail, Satan.”

I get the impression that this is a well-practiced chant by these ghouls. Pray for Texas!

Reinforcements are coming; many pro-lifers will be there tomorrow.

Some college students coming from the DC area and picking up other students on the way down traveling on a bus to Austin. I think they plan to stay a week. Mike Huckabee and Concern Women of America and many others have plans to be there for tomorrow. There is a 7:00 pm rally with the Governor and Lt. Governor tomorrow also.

But prayers are needed the big fight will be in the Senate.

Yeah. Didja notice that "abortion supporters" don't participate unless they're paid to?

I posted that last week on Twitter, and somebody took offense to it. I guess the left doesn’t like their dirty tricks being aired.

It's all spiritual warfare.

Ephesians 6:10-1810 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.

14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,

While it is important to be politically active and outspoken, the most important thing to do is fight the battle on the spiritual level.

I am amazed at the commitment of muslims who serve the demon Allah and pray 5 times a day.

I can't imagine what this country would be like if Christians had that kind of commitment to prayer.

I have friends who were there last week, and I had tentatively planned to go Tuesday, if the need was still there. Unfortunately, illness has reared its head so we may not be able to go after all.

My state Senator, Dan Patrick, said the Senate would probably vote on the bill on the 15th since it has to go to committee first. If that is the case, I’ll head up there then (if the family is on the mend).

Either way, prayer is a given for those who are on the front-line as pro-lifers or legislators.

I’ve been tweeting as much info as I can to my few followers, and I’m putting things on FB for others. If friends/family can’t go they are certainly able to support in prayer.
