“Excommunicated Priest to appeal to new Pope.”

No, I don’t think he’s the Pope’s type!

I don’t beieve he will get a very good reception from Pope Francis.

I sure hope he doesn’t

I wonder what kind of lawyer knows enough theology to deem to act as an attorney for a defrocked priest. Is this a Clergical lawyer?

Roy Bourgeois is becoming the Pete Rose of Catholicism.

No. Rose had a long, successful career, tallying up more base hits than any other ball player ever. Roy would not even make the top 90%.

He's more like the Joe Shlabotnik of the priesthood, but with a less loyal following.

Bourgeois is a marxist supporter of “Liberation Theology” and has been for many decades, esp. regarding El Salvador and Nicaragua where he supported the communist FLMN and the FLSN (Sandinistas).

His record of affiliation with communist front groups in the US is very long, Check out the sites www.DiscoverTheNetwork.com and www.keywiki.org for details on his past.

He makes the Berrigans look like saints, and they were hardcore marxists too.

"With the election of new Pope Francis, Bourgeois said Friday he is working with an attorney to appeal the decision that expelled him from being a Catholic priest for the next 40 years.

...Bourgeois, 74, said ..."

Well, I say they should probably at least reconsider it in 40 years when he turns 114...

(But, seriously, this guy sounds like he may be struggling with Alzheimers or some form of dementia already, at age 74. Both he and Sister Keehan would both probably feel a lot more comfortable in some liberal, phony church, though it wouldn't be good for them.)

Idiot.

My dad always says, "You're in trouble when you start believing your own press releases."

This guy is sitting in a heterodox, ultra-radical echo chamber where they have all been telling each other that Pope Francis just luuuuurrrvs "the poor", so he must be "one of us," unlike those evil patriarchal judgmental members of the hierarchy who DON'T love "the poor".

This Pope is the real deal -- he loves the poor (of spirit not just in worldly goods) AND he also loves Christ and His Church.

Bourgeois is not going to get what he expects, and he will no doubt be shocked and stunned.

Bourgeois said he’s never met the new pope, Jorge Mario Bergoglio...
“I’m feeling better about this pope,” he said. “I’m feeling humble. He is much closer to the poor and he is calling for simplicity. I’m cautiously optimistic.”

He's making the same mistake the liberal nuns made. He's confusing the Pope's humility for doctrinal weakness.
