In Sarasota, the word is that Obama is going to campaign to be the new Pope. He figures having 1.2 billion parishioners beats the heck out of 310 million inhabitants of the U.S., more and more of whom despise him every day.

Also heard on the street is that he’s going to take the name “Pope Hope a Dope.” His campaign title: “Kiss my ring, then kiss my donkey.”

Is the bolt coming down or going up?

Up. It was the pope's method of submitting his resignation to God. (/sarc)

If he had that power to announce lightning strikes then it’s good that he renounced it.

The post to which I was replying said that Obama was going to campaign to become the next pope (a joke, I am sure, as was my reply).

Matt.24.27 For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

Matt.28.3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow.

Luke.17.24 For as the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be in his day.

Rev.4.5 From the throne came flashes of lightning, and rumblings and peals of thunder, and before the throne were burning seven torches of fire, which are the seven spirits of God,
