Here's an interesting viewpoint. The following is a copy of an article written by Spanish writer Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez and published in a Spanish newspaper on Jan. 15 2011. It doesn't take much imagination to extrapolate the message to the rest of Europe — and possibly to the rest of the world.
"EUROPEAN LIFE DIED IN AUSCHWITZ"

I walked down the street in Barcelona and suddenly discovered a terrible truth — Europe died in Auschwitz ... We killed six million Jews and replaced them with 20 million Muslims. In Auschwitz we burned a culture, thought, creativity, talent. We destroyed the chosen people, truly chosen, because they produced great and wonderful people who changed the world.
The contribution of this people is felt in all areas of life: science, art, international trade, and above all, as the conscience of the world. These are the people we burned.
And under the pretence of tolerance, and because we wanted to prove to ourselves that we were cured of the disease of racism, we opened our gates to 20 million Muslims, who brought us stupidity and ignorance, religious extremism and lack of tolerance, crime and poverty, due to an unwillingness to work and support their families with pride.
They have blown up our trains and turned our beautiful Spanish cities into the third world, drowning in filth and crime. Shut up in the apartments they receive free from the government, they plan the murder and destruction of their naive hosts.
And thus, in our misery, we have exchanged culture for fanatical hatred, creative skill for destructive skill, intelligence for backwardness and superstition. We have exchanged the pursuit of peace of the Jews of Europe and their talent for a better future for their children, their determined clinging to life because life is holy, for those who pursue death, for people consumed by the desire for death for themselves and others, for our children and theirs.
What a terrible mistake was made by miserable Europe.

A lot of Americans have become so insulated from reality that they imagine America can suffer defeat without any inconvenience to themselves. Recently, the UK debated whether to remove The Holocaust from its school curriculum because it 'offends' the Muslim population which claims it never occurred. It is not removed as yet. However, this is a frightening portent of the fear that is gripping the world and how easily each country is giving in to it.
It is now more than sixty years after the Second World War in Europe ended. This e-mail is being sent as a memorial chain, in memory of the six million Jews, twenty million Russians, ten million Christians, and nineteen-hundred Catholic priests who were 'murdered, raped, burned, starved, beaten, experimented on and humiliated.' Now, more than ever, with Iran, among others, claiming the Holocaust to be 'a myth,' it is imperative to make sure the world never forgets.
This e-mail is intended to reach 400 million people. Be a link in the memorial chain and help distribute this around the world.
How many years will it be before the attack on the World Trade Center 'NEVER HAPPENED' because it offends some Muslim in the United States? If our Judeo-Christian heritage is offensive to Muslims, they should pack up and move to Iran , Iraq or some other Muslim country.
...We must wake up America before it's too late.

Multi-culurism is a false agenda. Advocates of multi-culturism claim that no single culture should be held above another, but in reality, those advocates pick and choose which cultures to exalt and which to reject.
Multi-culturism is simply the reverse of Nazi Aryan Nation philosophy. Instead of exalting the White Germanic people, the multi-culturalists exalt a collage of various minority and special interest groups, above the White Western males and Israelites (Zionists).
But because of Hitler, the Multi-Culturalists have a force field to put around themselves, if you disagree with them, they just call you a “Nazi.”
Yet without genuine belief and practice of Judaism, many Jews in the US are becoming a lost people, secularized, assimilated, and separated from the greatness of their past and their unique relationship with God. In Israel, Jews are divided into secular and religious camps and often at odds with each other in destructive ways.
Yet God provides for His people, with Israel recently discovering and now developing vast quantities of gas and oil that will soon make her a booming energy exporter. And even as the living memory of the Holocaust passes, its essential lessons remain: when enemies threaten to kill Jews, they must be taken seriously, and a vigorous armed response must be made when circumstances require.
On that basis, I am all for remembering the Holocaust. Liberal pablum that the Holocaust should teach us "tolerance" is dangerous nonsense. Above all, in addition to profound sadness, the Holocaust should teach us to have and to use all the force necessary to resist and defeat evil.
And against the view of the Holocaust promoted by Left-wing Jews, there is a potent club to counter their misuse of the Holocaust. This monstrous evil that arose in the heart of civilized Europe was ended only because, at great cost, a faithful, righteous Christian America fought and defeated the Nazis and liberated the camps.
Then America supported the creation of Israel and defeated the Soviet Union -- another enemy of the Jews and Israel. And today, the continued survival of Israel depends on resolute and effective American financial, diplomatic, and military support.
In short, if American Jews want to help Israel to survive and avoid the more comprehensive Holocaust plotted by Islamists, then, even when domestic political views that suggest otherwise, American Jews should support candidates, groups, and policies that to keep America strong, confident, and powerful against Islamism. And today, the strongest American supporters of Israel are conservative Republicans in general -- and Christian conservatives in particular.
Viewed in this light, the Holocaust offers a refutation to the Left, not an endorsement.

It’s just that very few Jews agree with either of us.
WWI is so interesting, as all of the elements of a maturing age came to a head. Old monarchies old regimes and modern weapons colliding on the European stage where so many battles had been fought before, only this time the old military tactics were no match for the progress made in weaponry such as machine guns and advanced artillery.
It took 4 years of slaughter before military thinking and technology advanced to a point where trench warfare could be breached.

Political multiculturism is like judo. It appears to oppose racism and toxic nationalism but in the end it merely opposes Christianity and Judaism. Mark Steyn likes to say that it allows you to like all cultures without actually knowing anything about them... but in the end the common denominator is that they don't like Christians and they don't like Jews.
Unless you have personally visited Auschwitz, you have no idea about the answer to this question.

For example, the country's leading Jewish journal of opinion -- Commentary magazine -- is staunchly neoconservative. The Republican Jewish coalition is now a well-funded and well-organized PAC and advocacy group. And, most prominently among the growing number of major Jewish conservative donors, billionaire Sheldon Adelson donates massively to conservative GOP candidates and causes.
About a year ago, at a friend's request, I went to the house of an elderly Jewish woman and fixed her computer. Friendly and engaging, she soon started talking politics, making clear that she was very left-wing, even an admirer of the USSR! I chuckled and told her that I was much the other way, an anti-communist and a conservative Republican. She said that I would no doubt like her youngest granddaughter, who was also a conservative Republican. She sighed and said that she did not understand why Jews were becoming so conservative!

Truth. The more you investigate WWII history the more you realize how important WWI was.
Yep. And that, to me, is a curious fact.
It's been suggested that American Jews will vote overwhelmingly for Obama this time out. But jeepers, why they would do anything that suicidal is beyond me. They must have a death wish....
Obama is an unreconstructed anti-semite; he has more sympathy/empathy for the Muslim Brotherhood than he has for the State of Israel. He is more concerned about the creation of a Palestinian state than the survival of the Jewish state. He insists on the Palestinians' "right of return" — which would drown Israel under a vast demographic tidal wave, extinguishing it forever as a Jewish state. He is enabling Iran to acquire nuclear weapons, knowing full well that those bombs would be targeted on Israel, not to mention our own American bases and forces on the ground in the Middle East.
You wondered whether anything would be different, had the Holocaust never happened. Good question. But it seems to me that (perhaps) many Jews lost their faith in God because of the Holocaust — they simply could not understand how a just and loving God could let that happen to them. Perhaps many became effectively atheist as a consequence.

Europe died in 1914.
The Auschwitz is one consequence of her death. Physical elimination of farmers and clergy in Russia is another. 20 million Muslim immigrant burning neighborhoods and building mosques is yet another.
I also am bewildered that any Jew - or Christian - would vote for Obama. He is the most anti-Israel, anti-Christianity, pro-Islam president known to me.
Not really, with the end of World War one, many countries in Central europe were freed.
the Russians could continue fighting the Turks in the Caucus and the Iranis, while the Austrians fought the Turks in the Balkans
With this state gone, the conflicts between Russia and the others increased -- and needless to remind you, this was encouraged by the UK and France who fought alongside the Moslem Turks against Russia in the Crimean war
Also, in the Balkan war, Bulgaria had a chance to conquer constantinople and the Brits intervened
Finally, note that on the eve of World War I, the English were supplying two destroyers to the Ottomans which would have enabled the ottomans to stand up to Christian Russia
The roots of World War I and II also lie in the French Revolution -- or rather in Napoleon's destruction of the Holy Roman Empire: before Napoleon there were 300 different states, duchies, princelets, bishoprics, free cities etc. in "Germany" with no central push.
The Austrians put some kind of "control" which was a very loose confederation. The Prussians were trying to muscle in with their militaristic life, but were kept at bay.
What Napoleon did was to end this disunited Germany -- he reduced the states to just 26 and he failed to dismember Prussia. He set the seeds for a united Germany united under the military of Prussia instead of a Germany that was more philosophical and commercial. Tsar Alexander (who was more German than Russian in blood if not in thinking) acquiesced in this by liberating large sections of Germania from France and by destroying many of the kingdoms (like Saxony) and giving them to Prussia
AT the same time the French revolution created the idea of a nation-state where everyone in a state was the same in language, culture etc. --> prior to the French revolution only about 10% of France spoke French (or rather Parisian French), the rest spoke O'il langauges or Basque or Gascon or Brittany or Alsation etc. There was forced Francification -- and this pushed the English to destroy Cornish and aim to destroy Welsh, Gaelic etc. and the Germans to replace all of the various Germanic dialects with Standard German (while aiming to destroy Polish) and the Russians to implement forced Russification.
The only large Empires that did not do this were Austria-Hungary, the Ottoman Empire -- they had too many different languages and cultures

So these three strands dating from the late 1700s all tied in together: a lack of a buffer state between Muscowy and Germania, a united Germany under Prussia and nationalism. World War I was inevitable
well, multi-culturalism worked prior to the 1800s in the Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth and in Austria-hungary. In Austria-Hungary in fact, the ArchDuke Ferdinand (whose death was the excuse that caused the local war between A-H and Serbia and was the excuse for the world war between Germany and Russia) was a proponent of a “United States of Central Europe” which would have Germans, Hungarians, Poles, Serbs etc. having equal powers. The Austrians had done with with the Hungarians in the Dual monarchy and could have extended it further.
I think as long as the Old Kingdoms stayed so stubbon and refused to change, it was going to be blown up one way or the other. There was so much tinder that any one of a thousand things would have provided the spark that caused the war.
Which was exactly why the Serbs wanted him dead. A US of CE with not overly dissatisfied minorities would have brought a screeching halt to the Serbian ambition of uniting all southern Slavs under their leadership.
Yugoslavia, of course, and we all know how well that turned out.
