You see, I'm somewhat of an English purist. What they do on pretty much all of their advertising/billboards to me is dumbing down society. Intentional misspellings galore (Eat Mor Chikin). Even the name of the company is like that. Hate it, hate it, hate it. I know their chicken is supposed to be better quality blah blah blah... You may be a scholar of the English language, but you need to study up on trademark law.
Intentional misspellings strengthen a trademark. Consider Google
, one of the strongest brands on the planet. It's a misspelling of googol
, a noun meaning the number ten raised to the power of 100.
Of course, then along comes cynwoody, and legions of others, who use the verb google
(lower-case g) to mean do an internet search on
. If Google were to pay its lawyers to send out cease and desist lawyers, it would revive the finances of the USPS.

They speak Cowbonics. Actually, they udder it.
It's just like Ebonics, except it is spoken by intelligent beings.

Enjoyed Chick-Fil-A for dinner tonight, washed down with an awesome peach shake.
Think I’ll be going back.

Now a few days removed from when I posted my mini-rant about how the cows at Chick-fil-A spelled things and seeing the moral battle the company is now enmeshed in, when I’m in the area of one a CFA, I will visit there and gladly spend my money. I’ll pretend I don’t notice the misspellings.

The more detailed the description, the more nausea is producedusually. One of my Mama's friends was visiting once, when Mama was at my house, in NJ, and we were watching one of the network flagship stations out of NYC. A story came on about a 'gay pride' parade, and my Mama's friend asked me to explain how homosexuals have sex with each other. This woman was in her 70s at this point, so I was reluctant to give her that mental image, but she persisted, so I told her, and thought she was gonna throw up; she was completely disgusted!

I’m really disappointed there aren’t any Chik-Fil-A’s in my part of the country. They sound like a wonderful company with great food and strong values.

What do they serve for breakfast there?
Have to try that out, also.

The Chick-fil-A family sounds like a wonderful Christian family.
We were not aware of this, and we’ll certainly do
more business with them.
Wish there were more businesses like this.

I usually have the deluxe.

Chick Fil-a Deluxe
with frilly lettuce leaf, cheese slice, and red ripe tomatoes
a large side of waffle fries and large lemonade,
plus a couple containers of the "special sauce".

Someone was saying something about the good breakfast biscuits — don’t know if chicken is included — probably!
