>>Virgin Mary: The time for me to crush the serpent is drawing nearer
>>Friday, April 13th, 2012 @ 05:57 pm
>>I am your beloved Mother, Queen of the Earth. I am the Immaculate Conception, the Virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus who came in the flesh.
>>My child, the time for the triumph of My Immaculate Heart is close.
>>The time for me to crush the serpent is drawing nearer.
Huh? I always give Roman Catholics the benefit of our shared faith and steer clear of the “Mary” issue, but where is the scripture that tells us that Mary will crush the serpent? Is that official Church doctrine or just one person’s fantasy/opinion?
Because I don't know about the know-nothings. What should I know?
omg i thought born-agains "knew their bibles"!
Is Zer0 running for Pope????
Tempus fugit, madame.

Even Padre Pio . . .
>>omg i thought born-agains “knew their bibles”!
I’m Methodist. We aren’t really “born agains” in the evangelical sense or big into eschatology. Do you know the answer to my question? I’m truly curious.
Does that mean we’re all going to die?
then google it.
The Bible states that Jesus is the One doing the crushing not Mary.
Genesis
You have been exposed to someone’s private sort of Catholic-sounding mental world.
The above is purported private revelation. Quite possibly fraudulant or worse as it seems to claim that the Gates of Hell can prevail using a papal election.
Private revelation requires the approval of the local bishop. I see no evidence from the web site that the local bishop has approved of these purported private revelations.
I've heard of the term. My grandmother was Irish-Catholic, though later than the historical knownothingism movement you cited. How I should "ping" this escapes me though. The OP is apparently citing an article that purports to quote someone channeling the Virgin Mary, who is declaring she is going to crush "the serpent." If eating popcorn over that gives any insult to the teachings of Catholicism, I'm open to learning about my mistake.
It’s the Blessed Trinity’s plan, I’ll share the Scripture with you TIH. If you check the KJV Bible, you will see this verse is drastically changed.
In the English version of the first Bible, St. Jerome’s
Latin Vulgate, the Douay-Rheims Bible:
Genesis 3:15
I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed: she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel.
[15] She shall crush: Ipsa, the woman; so divers of the fathers read this place, conformably to the Latin: others read it ipsum, viz., the seed. The sense is the same: for it is by her seed, Jesus Christ, that the woman crushes the serpent’s head.
Kind of a tricky question, actually.
Here's a fairly complete explanation.
I hate to even lend a little credence to that bizarre interpretation, but my guess is it is VERY loosely based on this:
Genesis 3:1415 (NIV) So the LORD God said to the serpent, Because you have done this, “...I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.
Tempus fugit, madame."
If God would permit the scales to fall from your eyes, you would see that all this nonsense of penance, purgatory, papism, sacerdotalism, sacraments, marioloatry, canonizing, chants, absolution of sin, Hail Marys, and the thousand other traditions of Rome is just empty superstition. I will pray for your escape.
As my link explains, it isn’t really bizarre. The Hebrew pronoun is ambiguous as to gender, and the possible antecedents — grammatically, not theologically — are either feminine (”woman”) or neuter (”seed”), not masculine.
“Private revelation requires the approval of the local bishop. I see no evidence from the web site that the local bishop has approved of these purported private revelations.”
~ ~ ~
Read the Catechism, Catholics can believe or disbelieve approved and unapproved private revelation. It takes the Church many years to approve private revelation. It is only condemned, the disapproved, we are to reject.
Do you see...how can the messages from Heaven help us if we
have to wait for their approval? Pray for discernment until
they are approved.
People are mostly negative in reply. Why? Love the mother, love the Son.
I did. It talks about Gen 3:15 which says “He shall crush your head” and doesn’t say anything about Mary. I was wondering if there was a more obscure reference in Revelation. I did read on where it said that the original Hebrew and Greek also say “He” but the Latin Vulgate said “She” and that the RCC decided to stick with that.
So, thanks for insulting me and then forcing me to look it up so I learned the whole story when I was going to be content to just hear the RC version!
Good. I suggest you pray more, and spare us all the invective and name-calling.
Who knows. Perhaps the Holy Spirit will work a miracle ... in you.
No. The Greek text is not "original," it's as much a translation as the Latin of the Vulgate is. The pronoun in Hebrew is ambiguous.
And in fact the 1999 revision of the Vulgate changes the "she" to masculine/neuter, as my link points out.
Reading the negative replies, see parts of the message are already being fulfilled. Don’t listen to naysayers. It’s really true, love the mother, love the Son.
When the 5th and final Marian dogma is proclaimed, those who do not understand Mary’s place in our redemption will say no. Even in the Church.
The same for events of the end times spoken of...
A duly elected Pope would never change the Truth. It will
be a false pope who belongs to the evil one.
OK. Thanks.
The bible sure would be easier to understand if they had just written it in English from the beginning!</sarc>
but don't let reality upset your apple-cart of prejudice!
Source please!!!! What the url where you got this story? Please post it.
Source please!!!! What IS the url where you got this story? Please post it.
Both good pictures!
It seems to me that it is NOT Mary who will crush the serpent but rather her seed, Jesus Christ.
Just sayin'
Source please!!!! What the url where you got this story? Please post it.
I shared it, it’s in the OP. Sometimes when I include
a link, it’s showed as I typed it Salvation?
http://www.thewarningsecondcoming.com/
Maria is a seer from Ireland. The reference to the
“second coming” refers to Our Lord’s “middle coming” which
is spiritual. Our Lord is not returning in His person until
the Final Judgment.
p.s. It’s fact, not everything God has revealed is written in Scripture, that would be a heretical belief. The Fathers of the Church, prophecy, besides Scripture have spoken, Mary crushes the head of the serpent.
The same with revelation about the false prophet. Satan
has always desired to destroy the Church. We’re all going
to see his big effort but you know how it ends.
I shared already, the change in the KJV is drastic. St. Jerome wrote what he did and Pope Damasus approved.
Pope Damasus decided the Canon and it hasn’t been changed
since. Ask, who compiled the Canon, King James and his
translators or Pope Damasus?
see the difference...
“And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel.
(Gen. 3:15)

I will put enmities between thee and the woman,
and thy seed and her seed: she shall crush
thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel.
[15] She shall crush: Ipsa, the woman; so divers of the fathers read this place, conformably to the Latin: others read it ipsum, viz., the seed. The sense is the same: for it is by her seed, Jesus Christ, that the woman crushes the serpents head.
I don't know Hebrew, so I looked up an English translation of the Tanakh. This is what it says: "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; they shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise their heel"
They? That didn't help much, except to support that it is not Mary who crushes the serpent.
Wow. Nothing comes to mind as much as the centuries old debate of how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.
The website quotes Garabandal which has NOT been approved by the Vatican. Very interesting place, but not an approved apparition site.
This is a bizarre remark -- but whatever. I thought the link provided by Campion was pretty concise.
Here's something for you to ponder: The Lord said to Abraham, "I will make you a great nation..." Well, not exactly: "The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The Scripture does not say "and to seeds," meaning many people, but "and to your seed," meaning one person, who is Christ."
Thus, you see, Abraham and "his seed" are one. In fact, Paul is arguing here that the Lord made the promise to Christ, even though he said it, literally, to Abraham. Abraham and his seed are one, just as Mary and her seed are one.
The links on this thread show it both ways: "She will crush his head" and "He [her offspring or seed]will crush his head"
You're arguing about the difference between an a flower and a bud, straining out the gnat and swallowing the camel.
You might as well face it, for it is a biological fact: No Mary, no Jesus.
Why do you think I broke out the popcorn? I saw it coming : )
So, what is Lent for anyway? To give up something in order to please God? Really, I'm curious. Give up the Oreos and His Word of Truth sits there, gathering dust. The ONLY thing that will EVER please God, His Son, His Word, and once again, it is turned into a lie. But hey, going 40 days without Oreos and milk should make Him happy. Yeah, it's CLOSE to His FINISHED WORK ON OUR BEHALF.
"The woman shall crush his head." Riiiiiggggghhhttt..
>>I thought the link provided by Campion was pretty concise.
It was. Campion was very helpful.
>>You might as well face it, for it is a biological fact: No Mary, no Jesus.
True. Also true: No Mom, no me. But, my boss doesn’t send my paycheck to my mother.
“That kind of thinking sort of does away with the need for approval altogether. You can believe in an unapproved message without approval of the local bishop (why else would you seek approval unless you believed it?), but it ought not be propagated until there is approval. Certainly, they should not be labeled visions or apparitions without a serious qualifier, such as “purported” or “claimed”.
~ ~ ~
Hi Doctor,
Not true, if you are saying until a private revelation gains approval, we are not allowed to believe a private revelation.
Catholics who are interested in the prophetic, know which has “approval” and which is yet to be “approved” and that is most of the current messages from Heaven. You can’t keep what Heaven is saying away from people until “approval” comes.
Heaven can’t wait that long. The smoke of Satan has
infiltrated the Vatican per Pope Paul VI. This fact and pride, “some” of the local bishops and Vatican hierarchy are biased. Yes. The messages from Heaven say it.
We need Heaven’s help now. You mentioned the recent “approved” Wisconsin apparition. Is it 10 years for approval, what is the time period that it took to be approved?
And speak of Medjugorje. The Vatican took over it’s investigation so it has not been decided yet. Look at the fruit, the miracles of Medjugorje.
Hey StPio, I doubt that you know how to discern apparition messages very well. But there is alot of error in TheWarningSecondComing.com
For one, last year either ‘Jesus’ or ‘Mary’ was stating the warning would occur in 2011. When that didnt happen they edited it out of the messages. There is so much more.
Conte has one of the best written denunciations of these messages:
http://ronconte.wordpress.com/2012/01/29/evaluation-of-the-warning-second-coming-messages/
Followed by this forum and its two threads on the subject:
http://motherofgod.freeforums.org/the-warning-second-coming-t2799.html
http://motherofgod.freeforums.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2218
Please be aware that these message are false and hopefully you quit disseminating them or learn how to discern these things.
and...
http://www.catholicplanet.com/apparitions/false199.htm
Make sure you go to the MotherofGod forums and read both those threads. Contained within one of those threads is about a 1 hr radio interview with MariaDivineMercy where she says stuff about her Bishop finding error in her messages and the reason why as indicated in the thread.
