**we become children of God by becoming one in Christ**
through Baptism
Baptism comes in many forms depending on your walk with the Lord and level of sincerity..
Those who know Christ is their life literally know they have been baptized with fire and the holy spirit as all things are one in Him by design, however..it is not a formal ritual.. the last supper was an excellent example, many think he was only speaking of the cross, this is my body which is broken for you etc..., that viewpoint is true, however, I believe he was also speaking about the physical realm whether it be eternal or not is literally His body..so in that discussion we begin to see the other side of many of His words, ie you can’t hate your brother and love God, why is that? Because the life in all things is God, what you do to these children you do to me..again another reference to the one concept...
I believe Christ highest prayer for those of us that believe in Him was when he said Father make them one in me as I am one in you..that places us directly with God through Him...
ok I am rambling...
OH???
Jesus answered, The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.
1 John 3:21-24
Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. The one who keeps Gods commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.
