there was a comic strip in the papers some decades past...
it was called Rick O’Shay....about cowboys....it had a fast gun in it named Hipshot.
when his buddy Rick would try to get him to go to church he politely refuse....next panel would be Hipshot ‘in church’
it was a regularly repeated thing....here is one example.

I used to read Rick O’Shay in the comics every Sunday. I remember that particular one too. Where did you get the bound copies of them?
