i’m certain St Augustine did not believe God the Father entered history to walk the world as the man Jesus Christ.
This is called “modalism” and is heresy to the Church.

Spirited: Modalism states that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit never all exist at the same time, only one after another. Modalism denies the distinctiveness of the three persons in the Trinity even though it retains the divinity of Christ.

No, St. Augustine was not a modalist, nor did the author imply modalism.
