Obama is concerned about a private citizen destroying Quran’s and yet our own government destroys Bibles. Go figure.
Some have called Pastor Jones a coward for not burning the Koran in a Middle-Eastern country rather than here in the United States. No, this man is not a coward. Pastor Jones knows the consequences; that he, his family and his entire congregation will now be under a fatwa (death sentence) That's what Muslims know how to do best!
Furthermore, if an American flag can be burned under Freedom of Speech, Pastor Jones has that same right to remind people of what happened on 9/11.
So by my count, Petraeus and his predecessors have burned far more bibles than the number of Korans that berk in Florida plans to burn. Just sayin'.
Question of the day: why did they destroy the bibles and not simply ship them back? where was the respect?

A Christians duty is to spread the Gospel. We are in fact commanded to do so. That order is above and beyond any order in which any government give. In fact an order not to spread the Gospel is to be immediately and without hesitation DISOBEYED.
If I bring up a computer screen with text from the Koran, and then I copy it into a word document, and then put the document in the trash can, will it cause international outrage and endanger our troops?
I wish someone would put a Koran and a Bible together with the Torah and burn all three, and put it on the Internet, just to show the difference between the “Religion of Peace” and the two other major religions in this world.

The US military is an honorable organization and we said we would not do anything against the tenants of Islam and proselytizing Christianity in Afghanistan. We destroyed the Afghan-English bibles as a symbol of our commitment to not proselytizing there.
1) Al Jizera had the bibles on their news broadcast which if we had not had removed and destroyed the bibles, would have had more foreign Jihadist and Mujahedeen pouring money, weapons and fighters into the AOR/battlespace. Since the bradcast I will assume the Radical Muslim media is brimming with more hatred against the US and rallying support for the Taliban. I have not looked at the Pakitastan media but it could lessen civil and government support of US attacks on Taliban and Al-Qaida in their country. I have had enough problems with irrational Muslims poking into Iraq and the NATO and US forces in Afghanistan will have increased problems now.
2) The with out destroying the books would have been used by the Taliban as a talking point to say we where just waiting for later to begin the Christianization of a Muslim country for recruitment/rallying troops.
3) The Taliban has used Christians in the country as an excuse for their violence and or robbery of non Muslims in Afghanistan and will continue to do so. This incident will already have far consequences in that they will be more vulnerable now for the Taliban will have more excuses to kill them even if they are just being good people and helping innocents.
4) This will give the Iranian government more leverage and allow them to put more aid into the fight against us. (see other news articles about Iran involvement into Afghanistan)
I understand how many of the people in FR would have issues and will defend their Religion and way of life from radical Islam but this bible disaster will be a cause celeb that we must eliminate fast or it will cause more pain for us.
Gads, this whole cult is really irritating me beyond "tolerance." Will anyone be angry at the millions of Christians have been and are murdered in Sudan and elsewhere? Will anyone remember just weeks ago ten aide workers were murdered in Afghanistan because they were Christian? Anyone remember Daniel Pearl, Op Cast Lead, Mumbai, Ft Hood, It's endless madness and barbaric murder and THEY WANT US TO SHOW TOLERANCE? Until when? Until every minaret in the country is hallowed ground while our own government burns Bibles in some pissant reactionary appeasement in which they( muslims) just keep pushing and pushing and pushing?
Argghhhhhhhh! Someone please tell me this is all a nightmare. The darkness as prophesied is growing.
