Hang in there and keep fighting! Where there is life, there is hope. I’ll be praying for you as well. My brother in law (I have stepsisters and a stepbrother) is a lung cancer research oncologist at the University of Ohio’s James Cancer Center and Solove Research Institute. I hope your doctors contact places like that to try out the latest in experimental treatments.

I received a phone call from our dear FRiend Petruchio this evening. This is an All Hands On Deck call to the Prayer Warriors. He is back in the hospital today. Given the tone of his post at #1190, I was surprised to hear from him. I was even more surprised by the strength and vitality in his voice.
However, he says he is still headed downhill. He’s been having lower back pain and his doc had him in the MRI machine for over 2 hours today (and he’s claustrophobic!). They found a tumor wrapped around his lower spinal column. He says that his left leg is numb.
We spent some time talking about his final affairs. A couple of FReepers have been listed in his paperwork to be notified when the cancer finally wins. He has a childhood friend who will fly in from the DC area to officiate at his funeral. And he has written his obit. He says we all need to be on the lookout for that; because he is one ornery sonufagun with a wicked sense of humor.
His last post said he was tired, and tonight he told me that he’s lonely. Please pray for Peace and Comfort for our FRiend.

Prayers for you dear Petruchio. May the Lord comfort you and may you be constantly aware of His all-encompassing love for you.
Miracles happen, however unlikely it may seem. May God, Our heavenly Father who created Petruchio in his mother's womb with the co-operation of Petruchio's father have mercy on Petruchio and his loved ones that he may remain with us a while longer in better and tolerable health. If that not be the will of our heavenly Father, and Petruchio's race has been run, ease his pain and welcome him to the ranks of your Church Triumphant to spend eternity in Your Presence. we ask this in Jesus's name.
May the Blessed Mother pray for him, now and at the hour of his death.
