I'm not concerned that anyone would be "swayed" by hearing a liberal's take on a subject.

I'm so convinced that the Conservative interpretation is the true one that I believe that Sean can hold his own by by polite and simply staying focused without the ad hominem attacks.

He did go a bit overboard there, but he's been giving McClintock more than equal time.

He has, but he ought to give TM the same opportunity to promote himself that he's afforded AS. The last three times he's hosted TM all he's done is ask him when he's planning on dropping out.

O'Reilly. A has-been that still has a talk show, and has lowered himself to total sensationalism in search for ratings. Truth is a long ago discarded product for him.

She is also becoming my new favorite. The local station got quite a bit of input from listeners and added her to their morning programing. I just happened to have 1370 on one morning and had a very nice surprise when she came on. I wish she would stop in Austin on her "Shut Up And Sing" book tour. I'd take a day off to meet her.

I like Sean Hannity. That is, until he gets into exchanges with callers having opposing views.

Sean would have made an excellent Snake Oil salesman. His "facts" are rear-ended from Rush. His repeated "slam-dunk" predictions have never materialized. I listen to his show because he indicates conservatism. Finally, his grammar is terrible. He uses sos many pronouns that half the time no one can figure out what the hell he is saying.

My, my, my. Angry, huh?

I say, you take over being President. Now, you have to deal with the Iraq situation, every minute, every day.

Now, you have to deal with Iran, Syria, the Arabs, the Israeli's, and you have to please them all, all at the same time. Got it?

Now, I want you to personally go and stop the Freedom Riders. Ok?

And while you are at it, you need to close the borders.

Never mind that there is no "MAGIC KEY" that closes them. Never mind that the DEMS are bringing in 100's of thousands of illegals, and making them legal instantly, and that many of them are lifetime criminals.

Never mind that if you put a total stop to all traffic at the borders, you would instantly crash the economy. Never mind that you can only stop people at patrolled borders. The unpatrolled ones, people and drugs, and other items get through. You need to put more men on the job. SORRY, you must do so without increased expenditure.

Never mind that over half of the people in the GOVERNMENT HATE YOUR GUTS and are doing everything in the power to EMBARRASS YOU or HAVE YOU BLINDFOLDED AND SHOT. Yeah, just ignore that part.

Now, you need to deal with Medicare, Pensions for the Military, Russia, The UNited Kingdom, SSI , the budget, Inflation, NAFTA, The Teachers Union, Schools, and you need to do this TODAY.

Now you have BILLS and BUDGETS to sign and approve, and all of this must be done yesterday.

You also need to get on TV and make speeches responding to claims your administration did something that it looks like they didn't even do.

Now, you need to meet with NSA, the SECURITY COUNCIL, The COUNCIL on FARMS, the COUNCIL on FREE SPEECH, the COUNCIL on ... , The council on .....

Those meetings are all in the next five minutes.

Plus, you must take the blame and answer to everything that past Presidents, and their adminstrations did. For everything that the POLITICIANS the AMERICAN PUBLIC VOTED INTO OFFICE did, and everything they are working on and everything they do in the future.

Your wife called and wants to talk to you.

You need to feed the dog.

YEP, VikingCelt, it's all George Bush's fault. He didn't take the key and lock the borders (like it is even possible). He PRETENDS to be a CHRISTIAN. Why? Because he allows Americans to die in defense of their country? AND WHAT DO YOU DO? Are YOU Responsible for ANYTHING? Like who is in office representing your state? Is it a DEMOCRAT or REPUBLICAN? Have you even bothered to see how he/she votes on the issues that concern you? If the don't vote the way you want, do you campaign to remove them from office?

OR are you just one of these armchair quarterback bitching but doing nothing people that are the ones that don't deserve the freedom this country provides?

You misunderstand me. By being rude, immature and irrational, Sean loses the opportunity to sway those that are yet unswayed.

Oh, I see, just because I criticize this President (who I once admired but no longer do) I am not deserving of the freedoms this country provides. I see. That's an interesting observation. I DO a lot more than I would ever tell you about.

If you can't see how this government is not defending its citizens and how it is the President's main responsibility to uphold the constitution, to defend our borders and to protect the American people and how he is not living up to this responsibility, then you are blind.

And I am not President. I didn't ask for that burden and I don't want that burden. But Mr. Bush did ask for that burden of responsibility and he's not doing his job.

Oh, I see, just because I criticize this President (who I once admired but no longer do) I am not deserving of the freedoms this country provides. I see.

I didn't say you weren't deserving, I ASKED if you were. You seem to have a guilty conscious.

I DO a lot more than I would ever tell you about.

Liars take this way out. I would be perfectly happy to hear about what you do. I might even adopt some of your tactics, if they seem like they would help the situation.

If you can't see how this government is not defending its citizens and how it is the President's main responsibility to uphold the constitution, to defend our borders and to protect the American people and how he is not living up to this responsibility, then you are blind.

Well, damn, I guess I am blind as a bat. How many terrorist attacks did you suffer today?

Do you have any idea how many terrorist attacks there are attempted and foiled each and every day? That you are not told about because it would interfere with the economy of our country and give the terrorists what they want?

Now, as far as arguing about whether certain elements of current legislation is constitutional, be specific. I have concerns, as we all do, about this question. It is our right to question this and our duty as citizens to question it because the government has the capability to DO THE WRONG THING.

My complaint would be that most in our country (were you one?) didn't mind unconstitutional laws and acts while Bill Clinton was president. Neither do they have any problem with the Senators or Congressmen that write up and propose these laws. They only BITCH about it being the President's fault.

DEFENDING OUR BORDERS. What further would you like done? Are you aware of how much security at our borders has been increased? How much has that cost? Are you willing to pay for it? What do you want us to do, close the borders. This is impossible, in case you weren't aware of it. Why don't we go on a manhunt for every non-citizen in the United States, and deport them? Would you like that? How much will that cost? Will you pay for it?

President BUSH is not doing his job, that is what you said. What should he be doing? Standing in the oval office with his pants around his knees getting a blow job?

Dear Vikingcelt. It won't do us much good to be angry with each other.

But, if you are going to criticize the President of the United States, you are going to have to be more specific than you have.

So far, you have only a limited subset of the DEMOCRATIC TALKING POINTS.

Bush needs to close the border.....

Bush isn't doing his job.....

I have debated this subject on other threads with people who are concerned about certain things President Bush has or has not done. They had specific concerns about specific actions. In many cases, their concern was well founded.

What are your real concerns here?

Oh him! The RNC's version of "Lanny Davis"...

UCANSEE2 did a awesome job defending our wonderful President but I do have one question. Why do you say he's pretending to be a Christian? I believe that his faith is genuine, and I thank the Lord for such a wonderful man. Just curious on why you think otherwise.

Did anybody else get the expression on Nabler's face when Hannity said that Novak had already made it public that his source was NOT FROM THE WHITE HOUSE. It was definitely a "deer in the headlights" look.

Yep- surprised they didn't know about it beforehand.

I just saw Hannity and Colmes in Philly with Rendell...and the audience was cheering everything Hannity said.
The crowd was so pro-Bush..I was amazed!
