LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Now that the two oldest are in school, and her hubby is at work during the day, I know my daughter's favorite part of my visits is when I take my youngest granddaughter outside so that "mom" can take a totally private, uninterrupted shower. LOL)

Good night and sleep well, Tonkin. God bless you good for your service to our country, both those years ago, and now in the Coast Guard Auxiliary and the USO Canteen. *HUG* Don't let your "boss" work you too hard tomorrow.

Absolutely, bring warm weather clothing. That means shorts and T-shirts, and it would be a real good idea to bring bathing suits. There isn't a cloud in the sky, temps are still up near 100 degrees in the afternoon...

Oh, better bring some SPF45 suntan lotion along. Make sure the rental car has air conditioning...wait a minute, they don't rent cars in Scottsdale that don't have A/C, never mind! LOL!!

Aeronaut, you have oxygen in your airplane? You're going to need to get up around 20,000' AGL (Scottsdale is around 1100'MSL) before it cools off!!

By November we have some morning cloud cover, and the temps are going to be mildly cool. If you wear dark clothing to the Veteran's Day Parade, you'll overheat because of the sun. By Thanksgiving, the afternoon highs have dropped into the upper 60's if I remember correctly.

I live at 5000', and so am considerably cooler than in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. I rarely wear a jacket to work in November, long sleeves are sufficient. It doesn't get down to freezing overnight or in the mornings until at least mid-December, if not later (here). I used to walk to school in Phoenix, and the only time we had freezing temperatures was for about 2 weeks in the middle of January.

The only time I've been to Phoenix was in January (1994). I don't remember the temps, only that because I was acclimated to temps on the west coast of Ohio, I never had to wearing anything more than a light jacket. (I think seeing flowers in bloom IN JANUARY, NO LESS made it seem super-warm.) ;)

Y'all hold down the fort. I guess I'm not ready to get back to abnormal yet 'cause my body's telling me it's time to sleep.

Kathy: Whether I return "later" or "tomorrow" depends on how many hours I'm able to sleep. (I figure it should take at least 3-4 hours to qualify as "tomorrow.") ;)

dygd's wygt!!! Latersssssssssssss ;)

Naah, we're being lazy...had company come down from Tucson for dinner...it's a ya-ya kind of thing, started out with the 3 amigas and is now up to 5. I let 'em play cards after dinner and I jumped on FR!

I saw John's post from last night when I did my morning ping check, and just knew it had to come forward. You were right in the middle of doing your morning posts, and I was really afraid we'd double up on it!
