"Palestinian Pime Minister Mahmoud Abbas condemned the criminal and terrorist Israeli attack today," Abbas's office said in a statement issued in the West Bank city of Ramallah. "Such attacks obstruct and sabotage the political process."

Funny I do not recall anything being said about Hamas vowing to continue to attack Israel yesterday by Abbas, nor any such thing being said about the attack on the checkpoint that killed four Jews...

Abbas is a terrorist, Colon Bowel is his buddy.

I thought Hamas has declared they will not stop suicide bombings and that, as a fact, hamas in the last few days has held suicide (HOMICIDE, MURDER) attacks againts Israel.

Israel has a right to protect themselves. If Abbas can not control hamas - then Israel has a right to do it for them.

This is the same Palestinian propoganda we have heard for years.

In my opinion, palestine does not deserve it's own state until THEY FIRST control terrorists acts perpetuated againts the Israel population.

Yes indeed...this was a terrorist attack...unfortunately, the terrorist being attacked was only slightly injured instead of assuming room temperature!

""We will continue with our holy war and resistance until every last criminal Zionist is evicted from this land," Rantisi told the Arab TV satellite station Al Jazeera from his hospital bed."

They should have killed this SOB in the hospital.

Abbas refuses to disarm the terrorists, then complains when the IDF does his job for him. Time for the U.S. to cut off communications with this useless Arafat puppet too and let the Israelis continue their war on terror to protect themselves.

I can't get over this "How dare you try to kill us back!" mentality of the palestinians.

People that stupid should not be allowed their own country.

These 'humans' openly declare that they dressed in Israeli uniforms and murdered Israelis. Why anyone thinks they and those who take credit and command them have not forfeited their right to walk on this earth is beyond me, and frankly I don't care.

Israel is doing the right thing - too bad it is a coalition of One.

Abbas said the Israeli operation - which Israel confirmed several hours after the attack was an assassination attempt - was intended to sabotage peace moves.

1. It is open season on terrorists, especially Hamas. They have no rights -- they surrendered all rights when they decided to act like the barbaric scum they are.

2. Push the palis into cival war -- lets get on with it.

3. There is no solution to this problem other than wiping out the terrorist organizations first -- Bush is fooling himself to believe otherwise.

Hamas said that the attack was an Israeli "declaration of war," and that all cease-fire talks with the Palestinian Authority are off, Army Radio reported.

Isn't this what they said, in response to Abbas, BEOFRE this Israeli operation?

From "A Charge To Keep", by George W Bush:

"Our nation should be slow to engage troops. But when we do so, we must do so with ferocity. We must not go into a conflict unless
we go in committed to win. We can never again ask the military to fight a political war. If American's strategic interests are at stake, if
diplomacy fails, if no other option will accomlish the objective, the Commander in Chief must define the mission and allow the military to
achieve it."
