These blatant displays of sexism simply reinforce some of the attitudes that keep women from achieving equal treatment in pay and career opportunities," Lynn Osborne, chair of the Association for Women in Communications, said.

I wish these women who pretend to represent us would just stop spouting this nonsense and get a life.

A beer ad for football games in which two women looked ridiculous by behaving like guys? It's funny.

What I saw was two attractive, opinionated, and physically fit women who went overboard defending their views. As far as the boobs showing?...so what. Many an infant has been exposed to them since birth. It wasn't about guys pawing them.

Agreed. Studies have shown that after adjusting for time in the workforce, woman make 97% or 98% of what men do, and that's statistically the same pay. Women aren't kept "from achieving equal treatment in pay and career opportunities" - unless they're idiot feminazis that can't get along with normal people.

"These blatant displays of sexism simply reinforce some of the attitudes that keep women from achieving equal treatment in pay and career opportunities"...so how much did the girls get paid for a few minutes work? I would bet it is a lot more than the same I get for a few minutes of work at an elementary school.

Sex sells. Besides tippling by a couple has been known to lower the inhibitions and rest is left up to your imagination. Sex sells beer.

And yet, this is apparently surprising to some.

Anyone remember the Swedish Bikini Team?

The argument is really pointless. Nobody is forcing these women to dress this way and act the part of "bimbo" for these commercials. If women have a problem with this, they need to look within.

The beer I drink is never in commercials anyhow.

"Previously, the brand appealed to women and older men, and the problem with that is that they don't drink as much as twenty-something guys."

So the problem isn't that Coors tastes like warmed over piss? LMAO!

The "degrading to women" schtick has lost all its tread. At least, I'm sick of it -- and I've got the most conservative views on sex you're likely to encounter outside a convent.

What the gender-war feminists object to is any male appreciation for the attractions of women. In particular, they dislike the depiction of women with above-average physical charms. Get a life, ladies. Just because some women are prettier than others doesn't mean you haven't got your own assets. Forgive me if I can't say precisely what those would be.

What the bluenoses object to is any intimation of the natural attraction between the sexes, or what characteristics stimulate it. They want glamor to be anathema and sex back in the dark -- in the closet, if you will. Too late. What's possible now is to discourage younger kids from trying to grow up too fast, and to exercise discretion over what age groups get to view what material.

We've outgrown the notion that the differences between the sexes imply that one is "inferior." We've outgrown the notion that the only way to prevent rampant lust from destroying our society is by abjuring all public recognition of sexual attraction except the Miss America contest. Adults are expected to control themselves in the face of visual stimulation -- and the overwhelming majority of us do.

Some adjustments may remain to be made, but the cries of dismay about shapely, glamorous women in the public eye -- in beer commercials, of all things -- no longer deserve any response beyond a sneer of dismissal.

Freedom, Wealth, and Peace,
Francis W. Porretto

That particular commercial is borderline porno. For those who like strip clubs, Playboy and see nothing wrong with prostitution this commecial must seem pretty tame. For the rest of us and especially those trying to teach children respect for others, there is a problem.

Do these NOW nags actually think they're going to finally crack down on it and put an end to it forever more?

They're not trying to end it. Their purpose is to criminalize male sexuality... to empower women to have men jailed or fired at whim. They have largely succeeded. Two women were walking past me in the hall in an office I was visiting; I overheard one saying to the other, "What the hell do you have to do anymore to get a man to make pass at you?" She can thank the NOW nags for that.

Here's Eric Piesco, 37, of New York City, expressing the idea that men finding women attractive is "sexist." What kind of crap is that? The NOW harpies have talked this guy into believing that Nature is unnatural.
