I'm not sure what you're talking about. James Pinkerton is an American, not a European. He's served in the Reagan and Bush I administrations. Here's a link to a brief bio. As far as I can tell, Pinkerton isn't "pointing at America". He's saying that the war on terrorism will eventually morph beyond its original boundaries because of the inherent bureaucratic nature of government. And he's saying this will be a platform upon which future government growth will be justified, even if it doesn't have anything to do with terrorism. What is it about these arguments that you disagree with?
